LeBron James has said, “Oh, please!” to Father Time. At 38 years, such concepts don’t exist for the phenom. Last season, he took a Play-in Lakers to the West Finals and put up mesmerizing performances. The bar is so high for LBJ that he is expected to dominate the opposition even after 20 seasons in the league. However, there are some players who may edge them out in terms of preference.
Luka Doncic belongs to that category. Mark Cuban talks about his preference too.

The billionaire sat down with deadpan humorist Bobbi Althoff. In this zig-zag interview, Althoff and Cuban randomly get to the subject of basketball. The business mogul asks, “Who is your best favorite player?”
The comedian does an elongated “umm…” and then says, “Can you tell me, someone”. To this, the Mavs owner quickly replies, “LeBron”.
And the humorist, in her usual nonchalant style, speaks, “LeBron James. I forgot about him. But I do like him. Is he on the Mavericks?”
To this, the business personality replies, “No, he is not”. Then Althoff asks him, “Are you trying to get him?”
Then Cuban confidently says “No”, shakes his head, and then proudly declares, “We have this guy called Luka Doncic”. Without addressing the answers, the host of the show then asks him “How old are you?“
This is a typical Bobbi Althoff interview. The style of this comedian can befuddle many. One can be at a loss when trying to understand what point is she trying to make. She has random things to say and makes those who come to her show do the same. Her deadpan style combines with her acting skills. This is why it is tough to follow and analyze the content of her videos.
At any rate, the way Cuban glowingly says “We have this guy named Luka Doncic”, reveals how proud he is of having him. Naturally, the $5.7 billion worth business executive will prefer Doncic over LeBron. His Mavs drafted him in 2018 as the third pick.
After five seasons in the league, the Slovenian maestro is going to be just 25, around 2024-25’s season mid-season. He has already become an MVP-level player and it will not surprise many souls if he wins the award soon.
The Shark Tank star certainly loves Doncic’s pairing with Kyrie Irving.

After signing Kyrie Irving to a three-year $126 million deal, he is serious about having the backcourt pairing of the Slovenian superstar and the dribbling wizard. LBJ and the Lakers missed out on landing Irving when the investor made his intentions of extending Irving three months ago.
The Lakers may have also avoided offering Kyrie an extensive amount so they can build around LBJ and Anthony Davis. The team gave Anthony Davis a mega three-year $186 million deal. So, maybe Irving was not just a priority. But for Mavs’ owner, he is the priority. And no priority as high as Luka Doncic.
