The Los Angeles Lakers fan, Kai Cenat, attended tonight’s game vs the Hawks in hopes of soothing his wounded soul. The online streamer just had an ugly loss – specifically, a $300,000 loss to rapper 21 Savage during a Madden 24 game. He hoped that the real match would be better.

Unfortunately, the Purple & Gold matchup saw them accept yet another crushing defeat at the hands of Trae Young and Co. Watching the game with a forlorn look in his eyes, Cenat was ready to just bawl his eyes out at the merciless thrashing.

The poor Lakers fan cannot be blamed. 1-2 on the road now, LA suffered greatly without their dominant center, Anthony Davis. Atlanta was in and out of the paint, doing whatever they wanted. If Houston was targeting LeBron James yesterday, tonight didn’t require any such strategies. There wasn’t anyone to target. All Atlanta had to do was play the game.

And play, they did! The Blackhawks had seven players with double figures, with three of them landing double-doubles. Jalen Johnson (19-11), Clint Capela (13-12), and Trae Young (26-13) took the lead tonight. The Lakers saw themselves in the lead for a brief time in the second quarter before Rui Hachimura and Jaxson Hayes gave that up as well, with poor rotations to corner shooters.

Dejounte Murray, LA’s long-time trade interest, was just one point shy of a double-double, finishing the night with 24 points, nine assists, and four rebounds. D’Angelo Russell, unfortunately, barely posed a threat with his nine points in 27 minutes. Once again, the need of the hour was painfully obvious as the highly anticipated matchup between the pair just fizzled out like pop rocks.

Yet, none of it comes close to the hurt Kai Cenat felt.

Kai Cenat mirrors the pain felt by every Los Angeles Lakers fan

Kai’s expression of torment and anguish is one that every Purple & Gold fan can relate to. Their loyalty to the franchise and the King is being severely tested now. But Cenat has another reason for his misery.

On Monday, 21 Savage had visited the 22-year-old YouTuber, and the duo agreed to a game of Madden. With bets. In the two clips of footage posted, the first showed Kai taking the lead. But the second one saw him lose to the Atlanta rapper 26-21. And a lump sum of $300,000!

Well, the loss was surely a low point. But the streaming devices must have cost him more. And now the total loss should come to more than $300k. If Kai thought that a basketball game would have better luck, he was in for a brutal slap in the face. The Lakers themselves are playing on rapidly depleting luck.

LA will face the Boston Celtics next, and there is no doubt that it’s going to be a harder matchup than tonight’s. Hopefully, the Lakers will put up at least a decent fight.
