The 2x NBA All-Star, Jaylen Brown, is creating plenty of media buzz for signing one of the richest contracts in NBA history. Only a few days ago, Brown agreed to terms on a five-year contract extension with the Celtics worth $304 million. With this, Brown eclipsed Nikola Jokic?s $264 million deal with the Denver Nuggets, to become a baller with the most valuable annual contract this season. The deal will retain Brown in the Celtics right until the 2028-29 NBA season.
Soon after, the $304M rich Brown made a rather surprising request to nobly support a grand cause.?

According to Adam Himmelsbach?s Tweet, Jaylen Brown has decided to announce his extension in a rather unorthodox manner. Brown has decided to pass on the formal press conference and its flashy cameras. Instead, he wants to celebrate this news with the children of the 7uice Bridge Program.?
Himmelsbach says, ?Jaylen Brown requested that instead of a formal press conference at Auerbach Center, his extension will be announced at his 7uice Bridge Program.?
Per source, Jaylen Brown requested that instead of a formal press conference at Auerbach Center, his extension will be announced at his 7uice Bridge Program, a collab with MIT for minority high school students.

The Boston Celtics star founded the Bridge Program in collaboration with MIT to promote the sciences and technology among marginalized communities. The program has a cutting-edge curriculum that?s designed to nurture society?s underrepresented youth.?
By moving his contract announcement to the high school, Brown can take advantage of the media hype surrounding his extension. As a long-time activist, this seems like another great move by the 26-year-old to bring attention to the causes he cares about.

Brown is choosing to make his moment about his community. And his community is clearly grateful. Some think he can even “show the league how it’s done.”

One Twitter user said, ?Things like this are why he?s worth the money and a great representative of the franchise.? All-in-all the NBA fans were happy to see how Jaylen was ?using his platform for good.?
Brown averaged a career-high last season with 26.6 PPG and 6.9 RPG. He also made it to the 2022-23 All-NBA Second team. Now, with this super-max contract extension, we only hope that Brown maintains his form and once again leads the Celtics into the playoffs.?
