The Milwaukee Bucks have the best-talented duo in the East. This team roster as presently constructed boasts of great length and agility. However, they do not have a legitimate backup point guard to come from the bench. Though Damian Lillard will be the star in that position, who is going to give him a breather? That?s why a two-time All-Star trying to insert his name in that conversation holds significance.

How are the Bucks going to tinker with the team alignment when they are already over the cap space? And, was the ex-Celtic poking fun at his old team by calling them the ?Favourites??

For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo checks a lot of boxes. But being a prime facilitator is not one of them. That?s why Isiah Thomas, who was a two-time All-Star with the Celtics, stating that he could be a backup point guard for Milwaukee, needs to be analyzed. Jrue Holiday was the ultimate glue guy for them. Losing him in the Damian Lillard trade makes the Bucks vulnerable not only defensively but also in running the team. They need a floor general to set their offense.

Milwaukee losing out on Jrue Holiday, has made him available to the Celtics. Maybe this move has made Isiah declare that the Celtics are the favorite in his below tweet.

The Boston Celtics made some interesting moves this off season. Marcus Smart, who was considered the heart and soul of the team, got traded. And Grant Williams is also gone. But all that is taken care of with the addition of Jrue Holiday to the team. For a team that has faced Jrue Holiday in so many Playoff battles, can only appreciate having him on the roster. But does that make the Celtics a title favorite? Or Isiah Thomas was just poking fun at his old team?

Isiah Thomas had a good run with the Celtics until his team got steamrolled by the Cleaveland Team, led by LeBron James. He played with an injury during that entire postseason which went on to hamper his career, post his Boston days. Despite his issues with the Celtics, Isiah Thomas is not wrong in assuming that the Celtics could be the title favorite. Because the Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis‘ addition gives the Celtics a new dynamic that they never had before.
