Parenthood is a journey filled with joy and love. But nobody talks about the countless challenges along the way. For Ayesha Curry, wife of NBA superstar Stephen Curry, the birth of their first child brought about an unexpected struggle. She has always been open about her life experiences and now, as a mother of three babies, she openly talks about what it was like.?
In a podcast episode of ?Because Life?, she revealed a deeply personal struggle that she went through, especially with her first daughter. Her honesty and vulnerability provide a glimpse into the emotional journey and anxieties of new mothers. She also talked about postpartum depression and anxiety.?

Ayesha reveals her anxiety during her first baby daughter?
Ayesha and Stephen got married in 2011 when she was 22 and he was 23. Soon after, the couple had their first daughter, Riley. Ayesha says that she had no idea what she was getting into.
She experienced loneliness because Steph was out playing for the Warriors. In the podcast ?Because Life? she recalls the moment when her daughter was born healthy but soon developed Jaundice. This unexpected medical condition triggered anxiety, leading her to fear the worst.

In her own words, she said, ?She came out healthy as can be and had a little Jaundice which I can say that now. But as a new mom like the anxiety, that might be the first time that I started to experience anxiety. I thought the world was going to crumble, as she had jaundice. So it is what it is. I can laugh now but at that time it was scary,?.?
Ayesha’s struggles through her other pregnancies?
After that, they tried to conceive their second child but were unsuccessful for a long time. As soon as they decided to give up, Ayesha got pregnant with Ryan. ?I like broke down because I literally was so done?, she said about her second pregnancy.?
After her second baby, she still had a bumpy road in her third pregnancy. She revealed that six months had been unpleasant. Since the pandemic, her anxiety and depression have spiked majorly. It reached a point where she had to seek professional help and see a therapist. Now, she looks back and praises therapy for helping her make big changes in life.
?All three of them threw me for a loop in different ways,? said Ayesha while talking about her emotional state during pregnancy.?
Ayesha’s candid admission highlights the emotional rollercoaster that many new parents face. The overwhelming responsibility of caring for a newborn, coupled with unexpected medical conditions, can lead to heightened anxiety and fear.
