Building a boot brand is a go-getting contract in the NBA. His Airness signed it, so did The Chosen One. Kyrie Irving followed suit when Nike terminated his deal. And now, Anthony Edwards has become a new member in the club. But the 22-year-old forward who literally won America FIBA this summer faced a fan fury over his signature sneakers.

Unlike Irving’s Chinese Sportswear brand association, Edwards teased his upcoming shoe with Adidas. But the fans did not appreciate his logo and started grilling him on social media.

Looking at his trajectory, there is a growing sense that Edwards is on his way to NBA fame. This is especially true, as the Minnesota Timberwolves attempt to make a huge impression in the tough Western Conference.

And due to his rising popularity, Edwards landed his first sneaker deal with Adidas and joined the club of James Harden, Damian Lillard and Trae Young. His upcoming signature shoes will be called AE1.

Although the date for his upcoming shoes hasn’t yet been unveiled, the star revealed his new signature logo and faced an instant online wrath.

One fan found the new logo so absurd that he wrote, “That’s some lazy shit! It look like some shit in a pool hall.” Another fan compared Adidas with Nike and said, “This is why people go to Nike. Weak a** logos from these other companies. That’s crazy.”

One fan humorously said, “I see it but then again I don’t.” A fan was so displeased with the logo that he wrote, “Damn that’s a**”.

As Edwards continues to shine on the court, fans hope that the player gets a revamp on this new logo. Although that seems highly unlikely, fans pray that the shoes are at least half as good as Edwards is on the court.
