The #1 pick in the 2015 draft was the subject of mockery about a month ago. Karl-Anthony Towns made some claims on a podcast that led NBA fans to roast the big man extensively on social media. He indirectly fired shots at the 2023 NBA Champions, Nikola Jokic, and the Denver Nuggets. But now, one of the members of the Nuggets? championship-winning team may have validated his take.
Fans were not happy with the three-time All-Star’s most recent statement of saving one of his fingers for a ring out of proportion. However, this claim was made after the Denver Nuggets won their first-ever NBA championship in franchise history.?

Why was Karl-Anthony Towns mocked?
En route to their franchise’s first-ever championship win, the Nuggets faced KAT and the Timberwolves in round 1. Minnesota was defeated in 6 games despite a strong performance from the no. 32 and his teammate, Anthony Edwards. A few months later, Karl-Anthony Towns hopped on Patrick Beverley?s podcast. And he certainly wasn?t impressed with the Nuggets’ championship run.

About a month ago, KAT joined his former teammate’s podcast.
He joined Patrick Beverley in conversation and said, ?It was more special what we did in Minnesota.?
Shortly thereafter, former Denver Nuggets guard Bruce Brown too appeared on the Tidal League podcast. That is where Brown went on to validate the Minnesota Timberwolves and the fight they put up.
Brown explained, ?Phoenix was our ?toughest? series. But I would say, honestly,? I would say our toughest series was Minnesota.?

The host was perplexed by his answer. He did not even hesitate to ask right away why he felt that way. Brown said, ?They had good players like Mike Conley, KAT, ANT. I think that was our toughest series.?

Bruce Brown talks about other series
Bruce Brown went on to talk about their series with the Phoenix Suns. While talking about it before, he air-quoted that Phoenix was supposedly their toughest matchup. However, he did not feel that way.

The host also brought up their series with the Los Angeles Lakers and how all the games were close decisions. Brown went on to add, ?It never felt like we were gonna lose. Any game.?
So, for one of the members of the reigning NBA champions to say that about the Minnesota side does say a lot about their caliber. Let?s see if Towns and the T-Wolves can build on their performance this year.?
