This greatness was apparent in all its glory tonight. The Suns managed to outscore the Kings 119-117 tonight. And the ‘Slim Reaper’ is to thank for. His late fourth-quarter surge helped the rapidly descending (apparently not) Suns to make a 32-8 run in the final eight minutes! KD finished with 27 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
Out of the 27, 14 of Durant’s points poured in during the fourth round. The Kings entered the final phase with a comfortable 12-point gap that had widened to a 22-point deficit with eight minutes on the clock. Confident that they were going to win against the Suns’ Big 3, Sacramento played with renewed energy.
Unfortunately, they were no match for a locked-in Kevin Durant.
Kevin Durant has “no clue” about the Suns’ stunning comeback

We are yet to know what prompted Durant’s fiery streak, but whatever the reason, Phoenix emerged as the winner. And the Sacramento Kings couldn’t do anything to stop the ‘Slim Reaper’ wreaking havoc.

Talking about the late surge, Durant himself seems to be at a loss. “I have no clue. I usually know how the game is going but I felt like this was a blur … I guess we were all in a zone and locked in,” he said.

But this win is far from a respite for Arizona. Currently, in eighth place, with a 22-18 record, the Phoenix Suns are far from where they should be. With tonight’s victory, Phoenix is currently on a three-game winning streak. Hopefully, they can carry the momentum going forward and take inspiration from KD’s heroics.
Unfortunately for Sacramento, they didn’t get to light the beam. They will be facing the Pacers next, while the Suns have New Orleans to deal with. What do you think the outcome will be? Can the Suns extend their wins? And will Sacramento be able to handle Tyrese Haliburton and Co. in their first matchup of the season? Let us know your thoughts below!
