The Phoenix Suns were able to secure a decisive 127-109 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. Both teams have aging veterans, giving the game a ‘star-wars’ feel. Bradley Beal’s 37-point knock was instrumental in helping the Suns against LeBron James & Co. Devin Booker too added 31 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in his 34-minute play. Kevin Durant scored 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists, helping the Suns humble the Lakers.
Both the Suns and the Lakers have been struggling with injuries. The Lakers have been underperforming since their inaugural In-Season Tournament victory. Kevin Durant too in the past talked about how their battered lineup has cost them heavily in NBA battles. But a lesson he learned 27 years ago has been guiding, inspiring, and strengthening him.

In the game too Durant showed the character and skill that he has been honing since childhood. And Anthony Davis was quick to recognize how the Suns went on the shooting spree while the Lakers hesitated. Davis said, “They made a ton of shots. We had turnovers. They capitalized on our turnovers. We missed a ton of shots.”
And LeBron James too was quick to reflect as to what made the difference and created an advantage in the game for their opponents. James opined, “It’s obvious when you have three three-level scorers on the floor at the same time, it creates so many disadvantages for your defense and always having you on your toes. So, they’re going to be a really good team once they continue to mesh. But those three guys are obviously exceptional.” n But what Durant has been nurturing since his childhood was not visible just in the game today but shines bright throughout his career.
