Parenting three kids is never a simple task. And, when one parent is an NBA superstar, it gets even more difficult. However, Golden State Warriors‘ star point guard Stephen Curry and his wife, Ayesha Curry, seem to be doing a great job of it.

The Curry family welcomed their first child, Riley, in 2012. They have since had two children, Ryan and Canon. The couple that tied the knot in 2011 has always given back to the community in several ways. However, through their Eat. Learn. Play. foundation, launched in 2019, the couple aims to teach their kids some valuable life lessons by example.

Stephen Curry has always been a family man. He brings his kids to his games, press conferences, and even during pre-game practices. The 4-time champion also had them with him when he celebrated his championships. Interestingly, while his wife, Ayesha Curry, and he are on their philanthropic endeavors, their kids want to join too.

In a recent interview, Ayesha Curry spoke about the couple’s foundation, Eat. Learn. Play., also discussing how their kids want to be involved in their efforts. “It’s to the point where they want to help so much that we have to kind of explain to them sometimes why they can’t come with us to certain things“, she said.

Stating how the couple has imparted the value of giving back to the community to their children, she said “I feel like it’s just a part of the way that we’re raising them, it’s a part of the way that we were raised. And so, it’s becoming a part of our DNA now, which I think is really important for us to instill in our children so that it can be passed down from generation to generation“.

Stephen Curry comes from a family of basketball players. His father, Dell Curry, was a vital player for the Charlotte Hornets back in the day. Stephen was born during the time his father played for the Hornets. A North Carolina native, Curry had to move to Oakland when he was drafted by the Warriors in 2009. However, since he tied the knot with Ayesha, the couple has been working relentlessly to serve the local Oakland natives.

Their foundation, Eat. Learn. Play. was launched in 2019 to provide children in Oakland, with safe places to play, free meals, and books. The foundation also aims to open 150 libraries in the city, opening its first library earlier this year. Stephen Curry also donated a whopping $100M to the University of San Francisco’s Institute of Non-Violence and Social Justice earlier this year.

The couple have certainly been at the forefront of their foundation’s actions and have constantly given back to the community. Their actions have also motivated their kids, Riley, Ryan, and Canon, to adopt the same mentality toward philanthropy.
