While the Portland Trail Blazers star publicly announced his wish for a trade in June, several reports suggested that the star wishes join the Miami Heat roster. But as uncertainty looms large, Lillard shared a cryptic tweet of Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young, opening doors for further rumors, a month after ESPN’s Zack Lowe’s Atlanta Pitch.

When the NBA world expected Dame Time to join the Miami Heat roster in the offseason, Zach Lowe’s dropped hammer on the fans with his pitch. In one of his recent podcastsThe Lowe Post, he pitched a wild trade. He offered to trade Lillard for Trae Young, leaving the fans to scratch their heads. However, Lowe’s words got some traction after star baller’s recent social media activity.

While fans waved off Lowe’s wild pitch, it seemed to make sense after Trae Young took to his X, formerly known as Twitter, and shared a cryptic tweet. The tweet read, “They build you up to TRY & break you down!” While there isn’t clarity on the exact meaning of the tweet, fans had a speculation fest in the comments.

Meanwhile, Damian Lillard reposted Young’s tweet on his timeline, leaving fans in further confusion. The training camps are set to open in two weeks’ time ahead of the season opener, and Dame’s inconclusive trade fiasco leaves fans guessing.

 

Moreover, fans have added the Hawks in the probable teams that Lillard would end up in.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, Young repeated almost the same words used by a former NBA player in his recent tweet.

Trae Young repeats ex-NBA star’s words

Trae Young was one of those stars who took digs at Deion Sanders during the Colorado instate clash hype. Around that time, former Indiana Pacers star Justin Anderson dropped a controversial tweet. Interestingly, Young’s recent tweet and Anderson’s tweet had similar words.

Ex-Pacers star’s tweet read, “The United States (not the world) will build you up to eventually break you down.” Moreover, he also compared Stephen Curry and LeBron James with Sanders. He added, “I’ve seen it in my lifetime with Bron & Steph… & now Deion Sanders.”
