The Dallas Mavericks will go head-to-head against the Brooklyn Nets tonight. The Mavs are coming off a dominant win over a Joel Embiid-less Philadelphia 76ers. Fortunately for the Mavs fans, Luka Doncic will play in tonight’s game despite dealing with an injured nose. The 5-time All-Star was seen warming up before the game with a mask on for protection. Luka has a nasal contusion, which he suffered in the last game.

Even though Luka wore a mask to protect himself from further injury, his new look sent the NBA World into a frenzy. Fans took over social media and started making some bold predictions for masked Luka. One fan wrote, “The 90-point game dropping.” There have been several legendary performances in NBA history with players wearing a mask, and fans are predicting Luka to do the same tonight. Other fans also chimed in on Luka’s masked look.

Even the Brooklyn Nets fanbase predicted Luka to drop a 60-piece tonight.

One fan claimed Luka was only wearing a mask to copy his rival, Devin Booker. He called Luka out for first copying Booker’s headband look and now the masked look.

Luka has single-handedly carried the Dallas Mavericks on his shoulders for the majority of the season. And that has taken a toll on his body. He played the last game despite dealing with ankle soreness, and tonight, he will play with an injured nose. Luka is doing everything he can to lead his team to the playoffs. He has been incredible all season, averaging 34.5 points, 9.4 assists, and 8.6 rebounds.

Luka Doncic can finally share his scoring load

The Dallas Mavericks have been reliant on Luka Doncic’s heroics all season to keep them afloat. Fortunately for them, Luka’s co-star Kyrie Irving made his highly-anticipated return from injury in the last game. Kyrie had been out for 6 straight games due to right thumb soreness. He has played only 28 games so far and has dealt with multiple injuries throughout the season. However, Kyrie picked things up right where he left off in the last game and led the Mavs to a dominant victory over the Sixers. He finished the game with 23 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds.

Uncle Drew will suit up in tonight’s clash against the Nets and play alongside Masked Luka. With Kyrie back in the lineup, Luka will get some time to rest and fully recover from his injuries. He can decrease his scoring load and let Kyrie take over the game. The superstar duo has played great together all season, and the Mavs need both of them healthy to reach their maximum potential.
