The 2020 NBA draft pick of the Wizards, Deni Avdija is probably questioning his life choices right now. A little over the top? Maybe. But the young Israeli starlet’s reaction pretty much ties to the above statement. The preseason game between the Wizards and Knicks saw Jordan Poole on a roll.
He had a kicker night scoring 41 points in today’s game. Though Poole wasn’t exactly happy to leave the Warriors, Washington was only too glad to welcome him. And judging by today’s game, it looks like he has embraced his position. But, Deni has a different opinion.

Jordan Poole is a crowd favourite. People have come to stadiums sporting beachwear and signs saying “Poole Party”. Washington, aside from getting a talented guard and all-rounder, has also seen an increase in fans attending their games. They have Poole to thank that for.
Today’s game reminds us again why the Warriors fans were outrageous at trading Jordan for Chris Paul. Suffice it to say, Poole was shining. Deni Avdija was anything but. On his way to complete a 41-point night, he blatantly ignored the 22-year-old forward. Tony Jones, shows some tough love in his tweet, saying, “That man looked off Steph Curry. He is most likely not passing to you.”
Deni, I got some news for ya, bro….

Maybe Poole was in a really good mood or he finally accepted that his role at Washington is bigger than him and decided to show the team what he’s capable of. Whatever his reason (a good one, we hope), it hurt Deni pretty bad. Since being drafted by the Wizards, he hasn’t exactly been the fan favourite. But today, he seems to have a lot of supporters.
Deni Avdija gets much-needed fan love
It might be the disappointment on the young player’s face that triggered some maternal or brotherly instincts in a lot of fans, but the comment section is divided in their opinions.

One user pointed out how Poole shouldn’t be hogging the ball in a preseason game.
It’s preseason, you shouldn’t be dropping 41, you should be letting others get involved and see how the team will work. I guess that’s how

Another one seems to not withhold anything.
Because preseason is about fleshing the team out not scoring 50 from a starter risking injury. Prime example of selfish Poole.

Yet another user looks like he gave serious thought to the financial side of matters.
Dudes already seeing the writing on the wall what’s prob making him sick though is the fact that he’s prob got stipulations in his deal for his money minutes, shooting percentages, rebounds, assist it’s prob incentive based and he already seeing he ain’t hitting them with poole

We have also got a pundit in the comments, predicting how sooner than later, there are going to be a lot of players sick of JP.
Poole about to have all his teammates sick of him 🤣🤣

And then, there is a user who is convinced that Poole is not a team guy at all.

No one wants to play with guys like Poole! Not a team guy at all

For the Wizards’ sake, we hope that’s not true. Because then, there is going to be some serious negative energy in the locker room. And it would only be the start.
