Milwaukee Bucks’ story is far from over. After a shaky start, they are slowly finding their feet in the 2024/25 NBA season. Well, after a dry spell of losses, the Bucks finally have six wins in 15 games, but they are yet to go a long way through the season. At the helm of it all, their Greek Freak, Giannis Antetokounmpo, stands strong and dedicated, as always. And to back the 6’11” giant is the veteran point guard Damian Lillard.
It is no secret that Giannis revolves around the Bucks, and over the years, people have accused him of all things that have gone wrong with the team. Player trades, changing the head coach, and more. However, the allegations haven’t fazed the 28-year-old’s gameplay. In reality, he keeps getting lethal with every game. But earlier in November, he was upset. Antetokounmpo was angry with his team after a devastating 116-94 loss against the New York Knicks. He boldly claimed: “We didn’t compete at all.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s outburst was a sign of the apparent frustration he and the entire locker room of the Bucks felt. But days after that fateful day, Damian Lillard came up to clear the air. And no, things aren’t as tense within Milwaukee as you may assume. Why?

“I think it’s important what type of mentality you have. Especially when you’re in the heat of it. If you get quiet and nobody says anything, I think it’s easy for somebody to kind of make of it what they want,” Dame said when asked about Giannis Antetokounmpo’s harsh reality check. “But I think you want your leaders to establish what it’s going to be. And I think he spoke from the place of a “leader of men” and somebody who’s been playing in a man’s league. And you can’t be soft, you can’t be sensitive.”
Undoubtedly, the Greek Freak is the leader of the Bucks and has, in many clutch games, pulled the team out of defeat. But often, things don’t work the way it’s supposed to. However, only 15 games have rolled out in an 82-game season. Meanwhile, Dame and Giannis gradually drop their gauntlets and snatch away their deserved wins. Moreover, no matter how much people criticize Antetokounmpo, one thing remains constant: he remains devoted to the Milwaukee Bucks, the team that helped him become the beast we see today.
