The Golden State Warriors are currently engaging in a nail-biting matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Pelicans need this win on their side to ward off the Suns and maintain their playoff qualifying seed, while a win for the Warriors would ensure that the team has a slight advantage when going into the play-in tournament. Given the high stakes for both teams, it was bound for some pressure to come out in a not-so-pleasant manner during the course. Sure enough, that is what happened.
During the course of the 2 quarter, the Pelicans were leading their rivals by a score of 59-43. As the cameras panned towards the sideline where various Pelicans players were standing, they captured the team’s shooting guard shouting some unclarified towards the Warriors second highest average scorer Klay Thompson. The latter wasn’t seen backing down as well, issuing a word-for-word verbal exchange with his rival.

The reason for their heated exchange has not been specified yet. Whatever it was, it may have been enough to make fans aware that the pressure to do well seemed to be getting to the two players.
The Warriors had a good start to the game as they initially took a 12-point lead against their rival. As the game progressed, the Pelicans led by a score of 45-22 in the second quarter, thanks to the ten 3 pointers they hit during the course of 12 minutes. During his team’s 11-0 surge, McCollum had reportedly come out to hit two of those 3 pointers and worked alongside Zion Williamson to put up a memorable offensive front. While Klay Thompson is not without his own unforgettable moments during the ongoing clash, he and Stephen Curry have been struggling to close the not-so-wide gap between themselves and the Pelicans.

If fans thought up till that point that Thompson and McCollum were the only ones who let their competitive spirit get the better of them, then it didn’t take long for their opinion to end up being wrong.
Draymond Green expressed his frustration over Stephen Curry’s foul call being left unconsidered
During the course of the game, a foul call was called by the Warriors lead scorer Stephen Curry. However, the same was refused to him, allowing the Pelicans to continue their play without any interruptions. This action was not something that 34-year-old power forward Draymond Green was happy with. A clip captured by an onlooker at the Chase Center featured the player laying his frustration out on teammate Chris Paul. The latter attempted to calm Green down and did a good job with it as the player didn’t argue further and sat back into his seat.
