The Curry siblings, Stephen Curry and Seth Curry are the royalties of the NBA who lived a life full of basketball. Growing up with their father, Dell Curry, a legendary NBA player who played for 10 seasons for different teams. In such an environment, both of the brothers shared a competitive bond. With the GSW star being just a little older than Seth by two years, both of them share a lovely bond. That’s why they are the biggest inspirations and competitors for each other. Although their bond is special now, it was quite rough in their childhood, as their mother, Sonya recalled a funny incident.

Sonya Curry, while appearing on the YouTube podcast Sway’s Universe admitted that Stephen and Seth indulged in a lot of fights during childhood. Recalling an incident, she narrated a story while both of her sons were on the same high school team. Sonya stated that she received a complaint from the school that the Curry brothers were involved in a physical fight. Further shedding light on the intensity of the fight, Steph’s mom said, “Rolling on the court wrestling and fighting.” Interestingly, the mother, Sonya, was also a teacher for Seth and Steph up until sixth grade as she owned her school. So, she took up that role to resolve what the issue was.

While Sonya condemned the act of the Curry brothers, younger Seth Curry stated the truth, “Stephen cheats you all don’t call the same fouls for him that you call for me.” Sonya could not help but laugh over the childish nature of Stephen Curry’s younger brother and advised them to just focus on the play. Even Seth himself admitted on the All the Smoke, “We were fighting. Mom had to come out in the backyard, break up a lot of fights.” Although it was intense for Sonya, she enjoyed the natural development of the Curry brothers.

Do Stephen Curry and Seth Curry still fight on the court?

In the past, Stephen Curry‘s brother, Seth Curry, has admitted to All The Smoke that both of them had a “competitive” relationship from the start. Though they have grown up and played for different teams, there is healthy competition between them now. They are more of “friends” now, but the spirit to beat each other at games is still there. “When we strap them up and play against each other, it’s the opposite. I’m going out there, trying to shut him down. Want to see them lose. We’re competing; it gets nasty,” Seth explained his dynamic with Stephen in the NBA.
