Jon “Bones” Jones made history at Madison Square Garden as if it were just another day at the office. He retained his UFC heavyweight title by defeating Stipe Miocic, sending him into retirement. It was meant to be an unforgettable night, and every moment delivered. President Donald Trump, billionaire Elon Musk, and other stars attended the event. Meanwhile, New York’s own, star boy Karl-Anthony Towns sat cage-side to relish the fierce war that waited to unfold.
Special events like the UFC 309 main event demand something special, something unique. And who other than the iconic 67-year-old announcer Bruce Buffer is a better choice? He was a part of the on-track event announcements for the 2023 F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix. Well, Karl-Anthony Towns is the superhero for the Knicks alongside Jalen Brunson. Thus, on seeing him by the cage, Buffer, in his legendary style called out his name.
Safe to say, KAT felt the vibes of the game even more as he got amped up by the legendary announcer himself. Towns shared a clip of his awesome moment on his IG Story, he was truly feeling “at home” in MSG. He was accompanied by his girlfriend Jordyn Woods who as always looked glamorous in an all-black fit. TMZ reported that not just President Trump, Elon Musk, and KAT but there was a massive list of A-listers present in the arena. RFK Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, Jelly Roll, and Tom Aspinall are just a few names from the star-studded register.

Karl-Anthony Towns remains questionable for Sunday’s face-off against the Nets
Towns just turned 29 on Friday, November 15. But sadly, the center couldn’t play the game against Brooklyn on his birthday. Missing the NBA Cup’s Group Stage match, KAT may now have to miss a regular season game too. The New York Knicks are facing the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday for a much-awaited matchup. But it looks like Karl-Anthony Towns’ services won’t be available for the Knickerbockers.
KAT missed Friday’s winning game with a left knee contusion and he’s in danger of missing a second game in a row. This means Jericho Sims could continue as the first choice in Karl-Anthony Towns’ absence. The 29-year-old ex-Timberwolves supergiant has done a brilliant job for the Knicks so far. Karl-Anthony Towns has an average of 26.5 points, 12.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and a whopping 53.6 field goal percentage for his new team. Undoubtedly Jalen Brunson & Co. will miss having KAT on the court with them.
