The Portland Trail Blazers put a dagger in the hearts of the Miami Heat fans as they traded Damian Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks. Lillard requested a trade in July and made it clear that he wanted to take his talents to South Beach to join forces with Jimmy Butler. After Dame?s stern request and the Miami Heat?s efforts to acquire the 7-time All-Star, the trade seemed imminent. Unfortunately, the Trail Blazers did not like Pat Riley?s offer and decided to look for a better trade package from other teams.
After the three-team deal involving Damian Lillard was finalized, the superstar?s agent, Aaron Goodwin took a shot at the Blazers for not following through on Dame?s request. He also had high praise for Pat Riley and the Miami Heat, keeping the doors open for future conversations.
