The Memphis Grizzlies have been under deep water since the start of the 2023-24 season. They are in 13th place in the Western Conference table with a poor 6-15 record. Franchise leader Ja Morant’s 25-game suspension has definitely had an impact on the team. However, the wait is finally over for the team, as the 24-year-old is all set to make his comeback in a few days. Before that, the star took to Instagram to share a major wholesome throwback.
The Grizzlies fandom took a drastic blow this season amid the team’s poor run. The seats at the home games were turning out empty and Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards didn’t hesitate to make an opinion on it. While everything seemed to be going down for the Memphis side, Morant’s return will be the only hope left. Fortunately, the All-Star’s social media activities reveal that he is raring to step on the court.

Ja Morant walks down the memory line
Ja Morant is only four games away from making his return in the Grizzlies thread. But, he has a lot to swallow before stepping on the court. The team has a major missing block as the team had traded out Dillon Brooks, and Steven Adams underwent a season-ending surgery. In fact, Morant would be setting his foot on a slightly revamped side after the addition of Marcus Smart and Derrick Rose.

However, the star seemed to be least worried about the challenge ahead as he walked down memory lane with his recent IG post.
Ja Morant shared a video of him, answering a reporter with his baby daughter Kaari in his hand, following the Grizzlies’ win over the Phoenix Suns last season. He led the team with 29 points to secure a comfortable 106-136 victory. During the post-game interview, Morant’s teammate and team staff were seen interrupting him as they were in a celebratory mood. In response, the star hilariously said, “He can have a tub of popcorn.”
Morant return would definitely be a moral boost to the teammates and it could improve the team’s performance in the upcoming games.
Will the Grizzlies fans fill the seats again at home after Morant’s return? Only time will tell.
