As a superstar of the league, LeBron James faced both criticisms and praises across the NBA world. In response, the Los Angeles Lakers forward barely reacts to any comment that comes his way. Instead, the Akron Hammer has been dominating the hardwood with his skills and impressed the sporting world with his longevity. Even his foes became fans, inspired by his longevity. Notably, a former Lakers star, who took a sly dig at the 4x NBA Champion in 2021, heaped praise for the superstar in a recent interview.
Apart from criticizing his gameplay, fans also engage in a never ending GOAT debate between Michael Jordan and James. While the debate hasn’t found its conclusion, several veteran NBA analysts like Stephen A. Smith often took Jordan’s side and trashed King James. Amid all this noise, he broke the NBA record as scoring champion in the last season, beating the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

In the last season, the Lakers initially struggled to even qualify for the postseason but eventually came back stronger with fresh roster. However, the LA side’s 2020 glory had a different story. The team topped the Western Conference points table with a 52-19 record and went on to win the championship. And of course, LeBron James won the Finals MVP for the season. On the other hand, several stars equally played their hand in the championship quest, and one of them is Markieff Morris.
Two years after winning his maiden NBA Championship, Morris recently opened about playing alongside James. When the interviewer asked him to speak about James’ longevity and greatness, he poured in with praise. He said, “I’ve never seen nobody work as hard as him… still doing that sh*t is unbelievable.”
Furthermore, he emphasized on the Lakers’ forward work ethic and the importance he gives to his body.

Even though he didn’t mention James’ name, it was obvious that he was referring to him, reported Sports Illustrated. He said, “I feel like we have nobody on the team like just, ‘give him the ball, and then everybody just watch and let them make the play.’ It’s a collective.” Following a year in Heat, he currently plays for the Dallas Mavericks.
