D’Angelo Russell’s time with the Lakers is over! Yes, the star guard was traded to the Nets along with Maxwell Lewis and three second-round draft picks in exchange for Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton. And while D’Lo was still processing the news, his former teammate turned nemesis Nick Young rubbed salt on his wounds with a brutal farewell message.

In a tweet that’s now going viral, Swaggy P wrote, “AND STAY OUT… Dnt bring yo a– back to LA.” Although Young did not mention D’Lo’s name in the tweet, it was pretty obvious to fans who that warning was for.

That’s because there has been bad blood between the two stars ever since D’Angelo secretly filmed Young during a private conversation, which got leaked and went viral eight years ago, while they were both on the Lakers roster. At the time, Swaggy P was engaged to rapper Iggy Azalea, but the leaked footage showed him admitting to cheating on her. Sure enough, the couple broke up soon after the video reached public eye.

Although D’Lo claimed that he had no idea how the video got leaked, Young felt betrayed by his then-teammate secretly filming him. Russell even tried to defend himself saying, “We joked around, played around all the time, said crazy things, and this just got in the wrong hands. It wasn’t a prank. It wasn’t something for everyone else to see. It was for my eyes, his eyes only. That was it.” However, Young was having none of it at the time and it looks like he is still angry at D’Lo for causing a dent in his personal and professional life. That is the reason he never wants to see Russell back in LA.

After the video got leaked, both D’Lo and Young got traded by the Lakers, likely because the franchise wanted no part in that controversy. Moreover, Russell’s own teammates had lost trust in him because of what he did to Young, and Swaggy P admitted recently that they began isolating D’Lo and stopped passing him the ball during games after the incident.

Revealing his side of the story on Dwight Howard’s podcast, Young said earlier this year, “It was a tough one. I’ve seen it the way everybody else seen it. He was just asking me questions you know about my relationship and all kinds of stuff, and I was you know answering them as a vet. I was a vet, he was my rookie. I thought he was just picking my brain or some s—. The next thing you know, a couple weeks later, I see little clips on ESPN like everybody!”

Sure, he admitted to hazing D’Lo in his early years as it is part of the rookie-veteran tradition, but he did not expect Russell’s revenge would come in such form, “Oh no, you don’t payback like that… That’s not payback. You hate me.” Well, D’Lo’s second stint with the Lakers turned out much better for him than the last time because he was away from controversy and even reached the West Finals.

However, while the Lakers were ready to give him a second chance, it looks like Young has no intention to do so as his anger toward D’Lo remains intact. Whose side are you on in this beef?
