The Luka Doncic-Anthony Davis trade has left everyone stunned. Following the blockbuster deal, a video of Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Brandin Podziemski’s reaction after finding out about it went viral. When asked if the trade was good or bad, Steph smartly responded, “Neither.” Meanwhile, Podz, just like everyone else, was having a hard time processing it, “Forget good or bad. That’s real?” While the news shocked the Warriors stars, their head coach Steve Kerr had a rather composed reaction.
Addressing the move, Kerr said, “What do I think of it? It’s a trade involving two other teams and other players that don’t play for the Warriors. So, I will not comment on that.” Yes, the head coach decided to remain tight-lipped, as the trade had nothing to do with his team.
Moreover, Kerr has bigger problems to worry about. As of right now, they are stuck at the 11th seed in the West and struggling to climb the standings. While the Warriors were already desperate to conduct a move before the deadline, the Luka-Davis trade has put them under more pressure to do so.

Until now, they had their eyes set on acquiring Jimmy Butler. However, the latest reports suggest Butler is unwilling to sign an extension in the Bay Area, which is probably why the trade talks to send him there have ended for now. In a desperate move, the Warriors are calling about multiple All-Star players for a potential trade.
As per veteran insider Shams Charania, “They made calls on every star. And that, of course, includes players like LeBron James, players like Kevin Durant, players like Jimmy Butler. They are making calls. They are dead set on trying to find another star player, superstar player, with Stephen Curry.”
Well, a $228 million star could solve their issue. Yes, we are talking about Giannis Antetokounmpo!
Warriors’ Potential Target revealed amid Anthony Davis-Luka Doncic trade
Sure, the Luka trade shocked most people. However, Giannis had a unique reaction to it, “I just love it. You know what I want? I want Luka to the Lakers, I want Jokic to the Knicks. I want all the Europeans to go to all the big markets to see something incredible. This is what I want. This is my dream.”
But was this statement from The Greek Freak a hint that he wants to join a big market team as well? If that’s the case, the Warriors could capitalize on the opportunity and pursue him before the deadline. Imagine if Giannis reaches the Warriors. That would surely break the internet.

As per Clutch Points’ Brett Siegel, “Outside of (Kevin) Durant and (LeBron) James, Giannis Antetokounmpo is the other Tier 1 superstar that the Warriors view as a dream trade target, sources said.”
Obviously, Antetokounmpo is one of the biggest superstars having an incredible season, averaging 31.8 points and over 12.2 rebounds. Adding him would definitely boost the Bay Area franchise to title contention.
However, Siegel is skeptical about the Warriors’ chances, “It is highly unlikely that the Bucks would part ways with Giannis right now, especially given Golden State’s lack of enticing assets.” Of course, the Milwaukee franchise will not let go of their superstar so easily and Joe Lacob does not have much to offer except his team’s young core.

But his desperation to make a trade before the deadline could force him to give up more valuable assets for a star like Giannis. Even though it is a long shot, it could happen. After all, the Luka-Davis trade has taught us that anything is possible in the NBA.
