Following the win over the Wizards, the Dubs have sweet and sour news. It’s the injury update on Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, who exited the floor mid-game on Saturday. While Green left the floor minutes into the game, Curry left the floor with around a minute left on the game. Anyway, the duo’s health will ultimately determine the team’s future this season. Right on cue, Coach Steve Kerr dropped the update that the Bay Area eagerly waited for.

During the post-game presser, a reporter asked about the superstars’ health and Kerr started off with a concerning update. “Draymond is gonna get MRI tomorrow… We don’t really know so we have to wait and see what the MRI shows tomorrow and just kind of assess him for the next couple of days and then we’ll figure out.” The star power forward laced up for tonight’s game after missing three straight games.

Moreover, the team even listed him in the Probable category ahead of the game, citing illness. Unfortunately, three minutes into the game, Draymond Green checked out and didn’t return for the rest of the game, dealing with calf tightness. With the MRI scans yet to be done, the severity of the injury is still unknown. Amid this grim update, Kerr had another update that hit the Bay Area fans like a breath of fresh air. Speaking of Curry’s health, the star coach said, Steph just… He doesn’t think it’s serious.”

Tonight, the Baby-faced Assassin had an effortless night, making shifty moves near the paint and sinking 3s as usual. However, at one point, it all felt meaningless when Stephen Curry rolled his ankle after blocking Jordan Poole’s layup. The superstar stayed on the floor for a moment and exited the court. With the number of injuries increasing every day in the franchise, the Warriors can’t afford to lose Steph now. Luckily, they didn’t.

Ankle injuries aren’t anything new to Stephen Curry. Even this season, the superstar missed three consecutive games after rolling his ankle in the team’s first loss against the LA Clippers. With already Jonathan Kuminga, Kyle Anderson, Brandin Podziemski, and Draymond Green lined up in the injury report, the team can’t afford to miss Steph as well.

Despite the continuous losses over the two months, the team has managed to stay above .500. And if Stephen Curry misses out, no one can save the team from disaster. With Curry already saying that he doesn’t want the team to desperately pursue any trade, this injury will only mean that the Warriors run for the season, over.

Anyway, that isn’t the case. The superstar, while icing up after the win over the Wizards, said, “Feels great. See you on Monday,” addressing his injury. Moreover, this update came moments after Kerr listed both Green and Steph in Day-to-Day until further notice. So, the bottom line is that Steph will lace up for the Monday night magic against the Celtics.
