Ayesha Curry and Stephen Curry continuously strive to help underprivileged children with the necessities that every child deserves: free nutritious meals, education, and safe play spaces. Their charity organisation aims to provide 6 million healthy school meals every year to 35,000 students and 85 schools in the district. Furthermore, they plan on renovating 25 schoolyards to provide safe play areas for the students of Oakland. The couple recently unveiled the next milestone in their path to help the community. The foundation is aiming to raise $50 million in funds to help improve the conditions of the youth in Oakland.
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry’s commitment to giving back runs so deep that he looks forward to expanding his charity work further after retirement. In an interview with CBS News, Ayesha revealed, “I feel like there’s too much work to be done, and I think the same could be said for both of us. When it comes to Eat.Learn.Play., I think when the ball stops bouncing for him, it’s like how do we make more impact? How do we get more involved? What more can we do? So from that perspective, I think you know 18 holes, yeah, but after that, it’s time to get to work.”
