With a 21-21 record, the Golden State Warriors have been on a rollercoaster this season. Steve Kerr and his men have lacked one major thing throughout the campaign—consistency. Their superstar, Stephen Curry, voiced his frustrations after Monday’s loss against the Celtics, pointing out that the team’s inability to remain consistent on a day-to-day basis has been a significant reason for their struggles.

This poor form called for desperate changes in the Warriors’ camp, which were implemented in Thursday’s matchup following back-to-back losses. Coach Steve Kerr made some bold decisions, not only tweaking his lineup by starting Buddy Hield instead of Dennis Schroder but also shifting to a more offensive style of play, moving away from his traditional defensive approach.

The result? A stellar 131-106 victory over the Chicago Bulls. After the game, Kerr addressed the adjustments, saying, “I’ve always leaned on the defense, but we need to lean on offense now, given where we are as a team. What I like, though, is we’ve got a really deep roster. We’ve got a lot of guys who can do a lot of different things.”

The game also saw standout performances from Quinten Post and Gui Santos, both of whom delivered when it mattered most. Post, especially, stood out with an impressive showing, contributing 20 points, five rebounds, and three assists to cap off a strong night for the team. Praising Post’s efforts, Kerr said, “It’s a different look for us, and I’d like to give him some time here, coming up.”

This could very well mark the start of something big for the Warriors as they look to bounce back from their inconsistent form and build momentum moving forward. But what does Curry feel about these changes?

Head Coach Steve Kerr’s adjustments to the lineup and strategy led Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors to an impressive and much-needed victory. Six Warriors scored in double digits, including rookie Quinten Post, who continues to impress in the second unit. While Post had a standout individual performance, his contributions had an even greater impact on the team by making life easier for their superstar, Stephen Curry. The stretchy big man created crucial space on the floor, allowing Curry more freedom to shoot. The veteran guard finished the game with 21 points, shooting 8-of-19 from the field, including 5-of-12 from beyond the arc. Reflecting on the game, Kerr remarked, “Steph was the happiest guy in the building tonight.” He went on to praise Post, not just for his strong performance but also for the way his presence enabled the entire team to find their rhythm. Kerr added, “With all that room to work with, the game got a lot easier for all of our guys. It was really exciting just watching Quinten.”
