In the NBA, there is no bigger star than Stephen Curry. Except, of course, LeBron James! But in the 2024-25 season, there is noise around a particular star. Brownie points for you if you guessed Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The Oklahoma City Thunder has been a menace on the court since he joined the league. Especially in the last two seasons, SGA has been an eyesore for the rivals. But that’s not all about him. Okhlahoma’s brightest star is witty with his social media posts, which disturb Sydel Curry.
Going all over-protective for brother Stephen Curry, Sydel had a little complaint against Shai. Steph’s sister shared her grievance in the first episode of Straight to Cam with Cam Brink & Sydel Curry-Lee. “I have a little bit of a little sister bone to pick with him [SGA] because he posts his fits and he posts music or lyrics as captions,” Sydel informed. So, the OKC Thunder star’s social media is full of photos or rather carousels that begin with his photos followed by key moments from the games he’s played. “So he’ll post the fit and then he’ll post like if he’s dunking on someone or like a good play from that game.”
“He posted when he played in the Bay, ‘I was feeling like a 40 in the Bay. So I had to go dumb,’ right? Fire, whatever. Watching the move. Oh my God. He crosses up. Stephen goes behind the back. Stephen gets off balance. Great move. Right? Cool. You got your moment. You posted a shot of it. Great. But why are there four other clips of him against Stephen and no other player gets that.”

Simply put, SGA’s post from Nov 20, 2023, has become a hurtful matter for Stephen Curry’s sister. The game that ended with the Warriors losing 123-130, is anyway a painful memory worth forgetting. But, adding salt to the wounds, Shai’s witty post isn’t quite appealing to Sydel. However, she cannot deny the fact that the 26-year-old Canadian is a great player and the rightful MVP in her opinion.
Meanwhile, a lot is happening in the Golden State Warriors. And, well, Stephen Curry, being the face of the franchise will find himself at the center of it all. Most importantly, this latest rumor is pretty huge.
Latest rumors in town: Stephen Curry & Co.’s odd Jimmy Butler link
With the February 6th trade deadline nearing, Jimmy Butler‘s name dominates NBA trade talks. The Miami Heat forward, a six-time All-Star and clutch playoff performer has become a top target for contenders. The Phoenix Suns remain the front-runner, but a fresh twist has emerged—another team is now in the mix, hoping to snatch Butler away. Will the Suns land him, or will a surprise suitor strike first?

After pulling out of the Jimmy Butler race, Stephen Curry’s Golden State Warriors are back in the mix as the Heat lower their asking price. At 22-23 and sitting just outside playoff contention, adding Butler could turn their season around. However, the big hurdle is matching salaries—likely requiring a trade of Andrew Wiggins and possibly Dennis Schroder to make it happen. This means Jimmy Butler could possibly find his new home in San Francisco and continue receiving his $48 million paycheck!
