Is there anything Stephen Curry can’t do? He can shoot, win games, win championships, and even win golf championships. The man of many talents dominates on the basketball court and sends a golf ball to orbit-touching distances with his flawless swing. While his basketball skills are on display with Team USA ahead of the Olympics, Stephen Curry missed out on defending his title in the American Century Championship (ACC) golf tournament this year due to his commitments with USA Basketball for the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, his father, Dell, and brother, Seth Curry, were up for the task of defending the Curry name at the Lake Tahoe spectacle.
After two days of action at Edgewood Tahoe Resort, the Curry duo failed to bring the trophy back to the Curry household. But Seth left a warning for the competitors next year, including Charles Barkley, who just might’ve stirred the hornet’s nest with his recent remarks. The words of caution came during the latest episode of the Dubs Talk: A Golden State Warriors Podcast.
Seth Curry opened up about the recently concluded ACC golf tournament and, of course, the major absence of Stephen Curry. “It’s different being here with your dad and Steph’s not here. Yeah, that is weird man, especially him winning the last year and not being able to be here and defend his title,” Seth told Monte Poole. “We got a little group chat going, letting him know what’s going on, on the grounds here and his caddy’s here, watching over us as well. So I’m sure he’ll be back next year with the vengeance“

With the 10-time All-Star missing, former tennis star Mardy Fish utilized the golden opportunity at hand and captured the trophy along with the $150k check. The warning was seemingly for Fish and especially for Charles Barkley, who previously taunted the Dubs icon. “First of all, Steph Curry, he’s a coward. He’s ducking me. Can you believe he knew I was going to play my best round ever? That’s why he’s going to use some lame lame excuse like the Olympics to duck me?” Barkley said during an interview at the event about Curry not being able to attend the tournament. This might put Barkley in trouble next year when Steph eventually returns to reclaim his lost glory. But what’s in store for Seth?

Seth Curry discusses his NBA future
At 33, Seth Curry is already a bona fide journeyman of the league. After playing for 8 different teams in 11 years, Seth settled with the Hornets last season. Now that it has been confirmed that he will return to Charlotte next season as well, Seth engaged in a discussion about his future in the league. “That’s what I was looking like (to return to Hornets). So trying to find lines of dealing all that and work everything out, but yeah, just right now, just focusing on my body getting back healthy,” the two-time NBA D-League All-Star (now G-League) said in the same interview.

Health is something Curry emphasized after picking up niggly injuries throughout the season. “Finished the year with some injuries, but getting back healthy and getting my game shot and hopefully running to next year, fresh sharp and ready to go,” Seth further added. He also hinted at how long he will be active on the court and said, “I want to go as long as I can…I feel good, I’m like getting the right situations for me and just keep my mind strong, keep enjoying it…You got many, many years of doing whatever else you want to do with your life. So just trying to maximize these funny years of my career,” Seth Curry concluded.
