The modern NBA is chock-full of supremely talented players like Luka Dončić, Jayson Tatum, Kawhi Leonard, Nikola Jokić, and many more. However, few can match the brilliance and longevity of LeBron James and Stephen Curry. One has defied the general understanding of aging with his remarkable longevity. Whereas, the other has completely revolutionized the game of basketball as we know it.
While Curry and LeBron showcase distinct styles of basketball, the prevailing sentiment among NBA fans is that Curry holds the edge as a superior shooter. But, this season has seen LeBron outshine Steph in three-point shooting.

LeBron James has garnered respect and admiration for his continuous on-court brilliance and his god-gifted athleticism. However, LeBron has never been regarded as an elite three-point shooter. In his illustrious 21-season career, LeBron has recorded a 3-point percentage of 34.6%. Whereas this season, LeBron has recorded a 3-point percentage of 41.6%. This number puts him in the company of elite shooters like Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. In fact, LeBron has outshined Curry in this aspect. Curry is currently shooting at a clip of 41.4% from beyond the arc.
However, this doesn’t make LeBron the better shooter. The answer is much more nuanced. LeBron has only made 66 three pointers this season, at an average of 2.2 per game. On the contrary, Curry has led the NBA in 3-pointers made, with 134 made three-pointers. The player who comes closest to Curry in this category is Luka Doncic. Luka has successfully made 116 three-pointers with a shooting percentage of 38.4%.
Personally, Steph Curry has continued his exceptional form, but his Warriors’ side is struggling this season. The Warriors’ gradual decline has raised questions about whether the era of the Warriors’ dynasty has come to an end.
