But despite this glorious record, Curry’s superstar teammate still has the quench to beat a former Finals MVP.

Apart from dominating the hardwood, the Baby-faced assassin also swung his golf clubs during the offseason. Subsequently, superstar’s leisure turned professional outing, as he went on to win the recent celebrity ACC golf tournament. His Splash Brother Klay Thompson is also a decent golfer, but he still has an unquenched thirst to beat a former Finals MVP on a golf course.

China Klay looks to beat Stephen Curry’s veteran teammate

Even though Stephen Curry led the offense and made plays for his team in the six Finals, he received his first Finals MVP in the last attempt. Meanwhile, the Slim reaper Kevin Durant won two Finals MVPs in a row and Andre Iguodala won the first Finals MVP in 2015. Contrarily, Iguodala wasn’t great in the golf course compared to Klay Thompson, but he still hasn’t beaten him since then. Let’s find out why.

Featuring on the recent episode of Podcast P with Paul George, Thompson revealed his ambition to beat Iguodala in the golf course. He went on describing the 2015 Finals MVP’s golf game before 2014. He said, He cannot have the ball straight. It’s crazy… He can’t putt, and I was clearly better than him.” However, things didn’t remain the same after a while as Iguodala brought out his competitive spirit in the coming years. Thompson further said, “10 years later he’s like a five handicap.” 

Furthermore, Klay took up the challenge to beat him during the podcast. He added, I’m gonna beat Andre again. I haven’t beat him since 2014.”

During this offseason, the Splash Brothers took on the NFL star Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes in a charity celebrity golf game. While the hype around the game reflected that the NBA duo would seal off the game single-handedly, the story was entirely opposite.
