Stephen Curry's new tattoo with Ayesha—Is this the ultimate couple goal or just another celebrity fad?

Most NBA players these days have all types of ink tattooed on their bodies. While some veteran players have extensive tattoos, even the younger players often sport full-body tattoos. Of course, behind each tattoo, there is a hidden meaning often associated with the player’s lifestyle. However, Stephen Curry is sort of a minimalist when it comes to tattoos. He has quite a few of them that aren’t as massive looking but each holds a deep meaning behind them. The Warrior is also one of the most humble players in the league and his tattoos justify his aura pretty neatly.

Apart from having tattoos that symbolize a deep meaning, Curry also shares a few of the designs with his wife, Ayesha. The couple has four kids with the youngest blessing born this year. Before the birth of their fourth child, the couple had matching tattoos representing their children.

This particular ink is quite special. Steph has three animals tattooed on his right calf, while Ayesha has the same design on her left forearm. These three animals represent their kids and they are tatted in an order of newest to oldest. Starting with the wolf tattoo, representing their son Canon Curry, followed by a butterfly tattoo for their daughter Ryan. And lastly, the unicorn symbolizes their firstborn, Riley Curry, who is well-known among Stephen’s die-hard fans.

Now, the couple are parents to four kids, and adding another animal to this unique matching tattoo could be a thing in the future. However, the next matching ink on the list tells a lot about the couple’s faith in love and god.

Steph and Ayesha’s wrist tattoos

Stephen Curry's new tattoo with Ayesha—Is this the ultimate couple goal or just another celebrity fad?

Have an interesting take?

The couple has Hebrew text tattooed on their wrists, representing a line from Corinthians 13:8, which says, ‘Love never fails‘. However, this very line is tatted in Hebrew language on Steph’s right and Ayesha’s left wrist. Fans may notice this tattoo when Curry shoots from long range.

Curry often talks about having faith in god. And of course, the humble athlete had to carry his words on his wrists. But it doesn’t end there, Steph has another tattoo dedicated to his wife.

The Chef’s loyalty to his family and team is unmatched

Stephen has been with the Warriors since 2009. Since day one, the Baby Faced Assasin has been rocking jersey number 30. And for remembrance, his left wrist has his jersey number inked along with the initials, TCC. What does it represent? TCC is the short form for “Trust, Commitment, and Care”. While the first and the last initial may mean a big deal to his close ones, the term commitment defines his nature the best.

Also, the initial “A” on his left ring finger stands for his wife’s first name, Ayesha. This just tells how committed he is to his longtime relationship and family. Now a father to four, Steph has a lot to take care of other than the Warriors. Other than that he also has the symbol “קרי” inked on his inner left wrist which literally translates to Curry in English.

Stephen Curry has the most detailed yet tiny tattoo

Coming up to his biceps, Steph has a ‘><‘ symbol inked on his left bicep. While this may just be a tiny tattoo, it has a deep meaning behind it. The greater than and less than symbol represents the verse from the Bible from John 3:30, “He must become greater, I must become less”. Or as some might refer to it, “He must increase, but I must decrease”. This tattoo is quite famous as fans are mostly aware of this ink on Steph’s arm.

On the other hand, the tattoo on his right bicep is mistaken by many. The ‘woe’ is often mistaken for ‘ube’ by fans. For the most part, it is because of the funky font of the ink, but the term ‘woe’ actually means, ‘Working on Excellence’. Well, he isn’t the greatest shooter of all time because of his long range. Curry has talked about his journey to becoming the best shooter in the game and has often talked about that one summer, wherein Steph practiced shooting all day.

Yes, the Chef has done 10,000 hours on his shooting, quite literally becoming an excellent shooter. It is interesting to see how his tattoos arent so noticeable but hold a deep meaning behind each ink. As the Warrior nears the last few seasons of his career, it’ll be intriguing to see whether he’ll add more such art in the future. What are your thoughts on Steph’s tattoos?
