When asked to name an NBA player who stands as the epitome of a ‘family man’, who would come to the top of your mind? While the answer might vary, you get some brownie points if the first name to cross that brain is Stephen Curry. In the 14 years that they have been married, the Golden State Warriors star has built a beautiful life with his wife Ayesha. Along with having 4 children together, the couple has played a role in sharing each other’s professional lives too. More often than not, Curry has relied on his soulmate on several fronts. Therefore, it made sense that after he established a major NBA record, Mrs. Curry would be there to handle a big responsibility associated with that feat.

Stephen Curry was the center of attention after the Warriors’ recent win against the Sacramento Kings. After all, during the game, he had become the first player in NBA history to hit 4,000 career 3-pointers. During the post-game presser, questions rang out about how he felt about the feat, his thoughts on the recent game, etc. Amidst the same, another query was thrown out: How special did it feel for Curry to secure that milestone with his family present?

The player replied that Ayesha wasn’t in New York back in 2021 when he surpassed Ray Allen’s 2971 record to become the 3-Point Leader. However, she was there for his most recent feat. This allowed the ‘Bay Area God’ to unload a responsibility on her, as he revealed, she got the responsibility to making sure the ball gets home.

Players keeping memorabilia associated with their major NBA achievement is not uncommon. However, it’s hard to do so when you have a teammate like Draymond Green. Confused? I got you!

It was only a few days ago when Curry revealed that the power forward would be keeping the ball from the game in which Curry crossed the 25,000 career points mark. Why? Well, because “I heard he’s got a little bit of KD’s memorabilia. He’s just collecting stuff for all of us. I’ll come back and get it, eventually.”

For Curry, giving the ball straight to Ayesha meant that it really meant something to him. As Curry ran back to his spot after making NBA history, he pointed at Ayesha. Mrs Curry, in turn, screamed in excitement for her husband from the stands. If there was anything that could have made the night more wholesome, it was that. Furthermore, he was confident that in his wife’s hands, the ball would safely reach home. Maybe Canon would start using it for shooting practice.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Ayesha Curry the secret weapon behind Steph's success, or is it all his hard work?

Stephen Curry reveals golf and family time on his agenda for 4,000 shots/birthday celebrations

Stephen Curry could not have chosen a better date to make his 4000th career 3-pointer. After all, just hours after hitting that shot, as the clock struck 12, the 36-year-old Warriors star turns 37. And ain’t no party like a double celebration party, cause a double celebration party don’t stop!

However, the Warriors are still in the middle of a regular season. Therefore, even though the team’s next game isn’t until March 15th evening, Steph does not want to go too rowdy. “We got practice, and my birthday tomorrow. So, I’ll enjoy some time with the family, come in, get our work in. Play golf early in the week, so that was the birthday round, and then a nice little shot of Gentleman’s cut tonight. That’s about it,” Curry said.

A low-key birthday celebration. Ron Swanson would approve—though he’d probably suggest a steak and a glass of Lagavulin. Plus, what better way to make the occasion special than to spend it with those you love and cherish? And yes, that includes Curry’s teammates too.
