Stephen Curry is out with an ankle injury but is still providing fans with some entertainment. This isn’t the first time the greatest 3-point scorer in the NBA is mimicking someone. Tonight at the Houston Rockets vs the Golden State Warriors, the Splash Bro was unusually on the sidelines cheering for his team. When Kyle Anderson pulled off a euro step to score, Steph got up to celebrate the moment and then, of course, imitate the bucket on the sidelines. Might be his best work yet!
Anderson secured the tense victory midway through the overtime period with a challenging shot in the lane, prompting Curry to leap up from the bench in excitement. As he walked back to his seat, the sidelined Warrior playfully mimicked the slow-motion move.
Young Warrior, Gui Santos, joined in on the fun by giving his own take on Anderson’s moves. It seems like they had something riding on who could make the best impression. With Stephen Curry and forward De’Anthony Melton sidelined because of injuries, while Draymond Green and Brandin Podziemski both fouled out late in this crucial game, they needed another Messiah to come in clutch.

In his 23 minutes off the bench, Kyle Anderson contributed 9 points on 4-of-10 shooting, along with 2 rebounds, 2 assists, one steal, and one block. While those are surely decent numbers, the spotlight continues to remain on the Splash Bro, who didn’t even play!
Fans react to the hilarious ‘slo-mo replay’ by “fun” Stephen Curry
Reactions started pouring in when fans saw the 2x MVP have some fun on the sidelines. One user reacted, “Curry out 2 more weeks, ankle.” The 36-year-old has been ruled out with an ankle injury. The fan was poking fun by extending the time required for him to recover. But Curry has been making good progress and was allowed to take part in practice in Houston.
Another netizen was rather concerned about the star. He tweeted, “Easy on the ankle, Steph,” hoping to see Curry back in the golden and blue uniform soon. The Splash Bro hurt his left peroneal last weekend in the game against the Clippers. He made a brief attempt to get back but ended up worsening the injury and had to leave for the locker room. Don’t worry, but a little fun won’t make it worse!
Curry has been known to provide comedic relief for the fans, so this isn’t his first rodeo. Another user reacted, “My goat is fun on and off the court,” the hooper indeed is. Is there anything this man cannot do? Entertainment on and off the court, the sharpshooter really is a complete package, be it as a team man or a loving father to his kiddos! He has often shown off his dance moves, quirky celebrations, and his aura by turning away as soon as the ball leaves his hands.

“It goes in. That’s all that matters.” This netizen only seemed to be concerned about the bucket. That is fair, given the position the Warriors were in. With Green and Podz being careless, someone had to step up. It was Anderson. It does not matter how he scored the points, but he did save them when it was needed.

Another user was in awe of Curry, wondering, as I said earlier, if there’s anything this man can’t do. The user tweeted, “Steph adds team mascot to his resume. So inspirational”. I’m sure there is a difference between being the face of the franchise and the mascot. But with his extraordinary game and people-oriented skills, the Splash Bro seems to be more than the most loved household name in the Bay.
With this win over the Rockets, the Warriors improved their showing to 5-1, and it’s clear that the team is in a good space right now. And in case you forgot, Stephen Curry missed three of those six games!
