Stephen Curry was another name as the signature player with Nike when he first came into the league. But eventually, the two had a falling out and The Chef went on to sign with Under Armour instead. Since then, Curry has been the sole player from the NBA to have a signature shoe with Under Armour, until now.

Recently, Stephen Curry’s conference rival decided to join the brand. Putting their on-court rivalry aside, De’Aaron Fox followed in Curry’s footsteps signing a deal with the $3.09 billion brand.

De’Aaron Fox joins Stephen Curry’s brand

Sacramento Kings All-Star, De’Aaron Fox recently signed with the Under Armour brand, per a report by The Athletic’s Shams Charania. He will be the first NBA player to sign a deal with the brand.

According to Shams, Sacramento Kings All-Star guard De’Aaron Fox is finalizing an endorsement deal with Curry Brand, becoming the first NBA player to sign with Stephen Curry’s signature line at Under Armour, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.”

Fox will be another All-Star who will go on to sign a deal with Under Armour. Under Armour does not have a huge list of players under their belt but it seems as if the brand is trying to change that.

So, the real question that arises is this, will the signing of De’Aaron Fox help in the skyrocketing of Stephen Curry’s net worth? Currently, The Chef’s net worth stands at $160 million.

He is also the Under Armor brand ambassador and his own Curry brand. So, it is quite possible that after signing Fox to the brand, other big names may follow suit and choose Under Armour over Nike or Adidas.

Other big names with Under Armour

De’Aaron Fox is the third All-Star to join the Under Armour brand after Joel Embiid. The brand managed to land Stephen Curry at first, followed by the Philadelphia 76ers star and reigning MVP.

A few other players from the league have endorsement deals with Under Armour. There are a few other players from the WNBA as well who chose the brand over other big names.

It is nice to see Under Armour being able to expand its list of star players. Moreover, signing De’Aaron Fox, a conference rival of Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors just goes to show the value Fox put in the brand instead of going with someone else.
