The Golden State Warriors have started the season in a very underwhelming fashion. For a team with title aspirations, the Warriors currently do not even occupy a playoff spot. Yesterday, the Warriors succumbed to yet another devastating loss, this time to the reigning champions, the Denver Nuggets. They defeated the Warriors by a scoreline of 130-127. However, the Warriors had several chances to secure the game, but in the clutch moments, the Warriors fumbled the game.

Even the reliable Stephen Curry committed a turnover in the closing moments of the game. During the post-match press conference, Curry shared his thoughts on the game and addressed his turnover.

The Warriors were comfortably leading by 13 points by the end of the third quarter. However, a spirited comeback in the fourth quarter by the Nuggets meant that the Dubs succumbed to their fourth loss in five games. During a post-match interview, Curry called the Warriors’ offense “stagnant” in the last six minutes.

He said, “We got a little stagnant in offense… They (Denver) just made play after play after play, and we just couldn’t get enough stops. Then it comes down to a bad possession by me. CP’s open at the top. Never know how that plays out, and then basketball gods take over from there with Jokic’s shot.”

Despite suffering another loss, the Warriors’ fans can take positives from Steph’s solid performance. He recorded 30 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds. However, apart from Curry, only Klay Thompson managed to score over twenty points. That has been the story of the Warriors 2023-24 season. Steph continues to play at an MVP-caliber level. While Steph Curry maintains an MVP-level performance, he lacks sufficient support from his teammates. The Dubs current form must be agonizing for their fans, who witnessed them win the NBA title season after season in the 2010s.

The Golden State Warriors established themselves as one of the greatest dynasties in NBA history during the 2010s. Their unparalleled success included five consecutive NBA Finals appearances from 2015 to 2019, securing three championships in 2015, 2017, and 2018. Under the guidance of head coach Steve Kerr, the Warriors revolutionized the game with their emphasis on three-point shooting and unselfish, fluid ball movement.
