He did it! Stephen Curry has finally achieved a feat that seemed untouchable until a few years ago. ‘The Chef’ headed into tonight’s Kings clash just two three-pointers shy of reaching that elusive 4,000-threes mark. While he did not have a great shooting night, Curry did enough to become the first member of the elite club. Adding icing on the cake, the ‘Baby-Faced Assassin’ made a special announcement to celebrate this historic accomplishment.

Turns out, the Warriors superstar’s Gentleman’s Cut bourbon is launching a $333 ‘Player Exclusive: IV Edition’ on this special occasion. As a nod to Steph’s 4,000 threes, this rare Straight Rye Whiskey is aged exactly 4,000 days,” according to Nick DePaula.

As there are only 1,000 bottles available of this limited-edition batch, the entire project is worth $333K. Not bad for an untouchable record!

Along with the announcement, Steph also issued a heartfelt statement, “Reaching 4,000 threes is surreal. I never set out chasing numbers—I just wanted to change the game, push the limits, and have fun doing it. This milestone is a testament to the work, the belief, and the amazing teammates who’ve been part of the journey. And this new Rye Whiskey from Gentleman’s Cut is the perfect expression for this celebration.”

Obviously, the historic milestone garnered several wholesome tributes for the four-time champion, including one from Under Armour’s Curry brand. Soon after Steph hit his second three of the night, the apparel brand released a video, narrated by renowned comedian and actor, Dave Chappelle.

“Scorer. Champion. Icon… Say his last name and everyone knows,” Chappelle said as the video played Curry’s career highlights, emphasizing his impact on the sport, especially in North Carolina. Meanwhile, he received another wholesome tribute during the Kings game.

It happened in the early minutes of the third quarter—one of those moments that felt inevitable, yet still left the crowd in awe. Stephen Curry drained his 4,000th career three-pointer in the most Steph way possible: a smooth pump fake that sent the defender flying before he calmly let it fly over two Kings players. As the ball swished through the net, Chase Center erupted, knowing they had just witnessed yet another historic milestone from their franchise icon.

During the next timeout, the Warriors honored Curry with a heartfelt video tribute, featuring messages from teammates past and present. Draymond Green, his longtime running mate, summed it up perfectly: “Steph, to be on the verge of crossing 4,000 three pointers, it’s just a testament to who he is. His hard work, the type of person he is.”

Head coach Steve Kerr, never one to hold back admiration, called Curry “One of the great artists ever in the history of mankind.” And that we are blessed to be able to watch it.” Messages poured in from Moses Moody, Kevon Looney, and Brandin Podziemski, but one unexpected voice stood out—Andris Biedrins, the man who assisted Curry’s very first three-pointer back in 2009.

With a playful nod to the journey, he simply said, “No worries. You can thank me later.”

As Curry sat on the bench watching the tribute, his face was a mix of pride, nostalgia, and quiet gratitude. The fans roared. His teammates clapped. And for a brief moment, it felt like the entire basketball world paused to celebrate him.
