Stephen Curry laughing off Warriors' woes—Is this the attitude of a true champion?

Even though Stephen Curry has national duties in Paris, he has made plans to keep fans back home engaged. Especially with the Golden State Warriors not really in good shape, the Baby-faced Assassin certainly has made it easy for the fans to cope. Amid his first-ever Olympic appearance, the 15-season-long NBA veteran is also set to make his acting debut on the small screen. Steph, who is the executive producer, alongside Adam Pally, co-starred in the upcoming mocumentary comedy series ‘Mr.Throwback’ on Peacock. However, Pally got the better of Steph, taking a potshot at him over the Dubs’ misery.

Steph dropped a promotional video ahead of the series release on his IG handle. With a veteran comedian by his side, he is definitely a rookie in the acting world. And, the marketing team didn’t miss the chance to point it out with a comedic sketch in the video.

The sketch opens with the Dubs superstar bringing snacks for Adam Pall before promoting the series in an interview. When a voice behind the camera asked about it, he said, “I mean, I’m a 15-year veteran on the court, but around here, I’m a rookie. So, it’s a lot of hazing duties going on, you know?” Well, this was just a glimpse of what the fans will experience after the series drops on August 8.

This is a documentary-style comedy series where a down-on-his-luck memorabilia dealer reunites with his sixth-grade teammate, Stephen Curry, who plays himself. The one-liner of the show certainly assures a lot of Easter eggs of the Dub Nation. However, the Mr.Throwback team dropped a not-so-good-looking one in the video.

Adam Pally mocks the Warriors’ misery

Towards the end of the video, Pally and Curry can be seen subtly going after each other. Suddenly an elevator opens and an injured man walks out, greeting the stars. Seconds later, Steph, in an attempt to mock Pally, said, “I’m sure he is a Warriors fan.” And, 42-year-old immediately replied, saying, “Yeah, he’s injured,” leaving Steph flabbergasted.

Have an interesting take?

The superstar had no choice other than just laughing it off. It’s pretty unclear whether this separate portion of the promotional video was scripted or not. But, it certainly did speak a lot about the mood in the Bay Area. The Dub Nation had the biggest heartbreaks of the off-season. After an 11-season-long stint with the team, Klay Thompson left the side and signed a trade with the Dallas Mavericks.

With an aging superstar on their side, the fans witness the crumbling Warriors dynasty right in front of them. Moreover, the front office couldn’t make a massive impact on the off-season after blowing the Paul George trade. If not the players, the fans are definitely injured. Nevertheless, the team can still rest its faith in the Warriors youth movement and expect them to carry the Warriors’ legacy forward.
