The fun time is over. Now, back to business. Amid its difficult regular season with ups and downs, the Bay Area took a weekend off to host the All-Star festivities. Well, it wasn’t a car crash, to be honest. The San Francisco edition had much to offer compared to the previous ASGs. Nevertheless, all that now matters is the 2025 postseason. It looks like Stephen Curry & Co. remains locked in as Draymond Green confidently warned the NBA world.

Steph, on the other end, fittingly had a star-studded Sunday night. The homeboy lifted his second All-Star MVP in front of the Bay Area crowd. He put together 20 points and 6 three-pointers in the two wins to crown Team Shaq at the inaugural edition of the All-Star Game Tournament. It’s a much-needed push for the 36-year-old amid the Warriors’ recent slump.

Even before the superstar’s sweat could dry out, DrayMagic caught him off guard with a message. After lifting the MVP award, TNT stole a few minutes of Curry and he had a surprise guest on the panel. It was Green. After wishing his teammate a special night, the former DPOY put Steph on the spot, saying, Well, number one. Just so you know, I guarantee the championship so good luck to you and Jimmy start this year back.” In response, the Baby-faced Assassin laughed it off but recalled it once again.

Moments later, Stephen Curry picked it up again at the presser. A reporter asked him about the team’s standpoint for the remainder of the season after the Jimmy Butler trade. Standing at 10th seed with a 28-27 record, the Dubs have work to do to make the playoffs.

However, Chef instantly responded, I’m excited. I got Draymond out on the telecast guaranteeing we win the championship. Following that, on a lighter note, he added, I love expectations and having something to play for. He’s (Green) lighting the fire for sure, but you know, all jokes aside, I think we finished the last four games 3-1 and we have a lot to figure out still.

As confident as he sounded, Curry also highlighted the team has a lot of work left behind. But, there’s an interesting occurrence that guarantees the championship.

Stephen Curry lays the road for 5th ring amid strange data

Firstly, Chef Curry seemed to be a practical guy. Unlike Draymond Green, he doesn’t look like someone who believes in superstition. We’ll come to the star forward’s affair in a bit. Before that, let’s see how Curry views his chances at the ring. Playing in his 16th season and winning 2x MVPs and a Finals MVP, he definitely knows what he is talking about.

We understand that the Dub Nation has found a new zeal since the entry of Jimmy Butler. The veteran forward has indeed boosted the team’s stranded offense. However, Steph felt that wasn’t enough to win the chip. Speaking to the reporters, he said, I think 27 games or so left to make a push. All we want is just to get into a playoff series and have a fighting chance too. It’ll be a tough out… in the West and we have a good opportunity in front of us to do that.”
