The Warriors have been struggling, going from a stellar 12-3 record to an uninspiring 18-18. Stephen Curry, frustrated yet hopeful, has called for improvement, and recent signs suggest the Warriors may finally be answering the call. “He is really struggling with the emotion of, you know, not being competitive right now. He probably hasn’t had to deal with this since his, I don’t know, his first couple (of) years in the league”. Steve Kerr was pretty candid about highlighting Stephen Curry’s mood after the Heat-Warriors game earlier this month.
Despite that, there was a feeling that the team’s worsening situation wasn’t doing much to solve the player’s frustration from the inside. Another loss felt imminent as the men in red took an early lead during the recent Warriors-Bulls game too. However, the Warriors soon overcame that and secured the win in such a manner that it brought out a positive reaction from Curry himself.
The Three-Point Leader recently took to his official Instagram account to share a story with his 58 million followers. The same featured a clip from the recent Bulls-Warriors game, in which Moses Moody made a 3-pointer after receiving an assist from Curry. Replaying that moment, the commentators wanted to observe whether the shooting guard looked away before making the shot.

Moody did, causing the commentators to exclaim loudly enough to make one’s eardrums beat. Curry gave the shot his thumbs-up too, writing a caption alongside the post that read “@mosesmoody acting up”. Well, for fans who were waiting for Stephen Curry to drop one of his appreciation posts, the time of wait is over.
Stephen Curry posting Moody’s highlight came in the aftermath of Steve Kerr engaging in a post-game presser. The Warriors head coach spent a significant amount of time discussing Quinten Post. For the Dutch Warriors rookie, who was selected as the team’s 52 overall pick, the chance to play alongside his NBA squad did not come until at least late December.
Despite this, given the team’s precarious position, Kerr decided to give Post a chance by extending his minutes. The decision paid off. The rookie’s offensive efforts made a big enough dent to deliver the Warriors their first win after 2 consecutive losses. Everyone was in awe, and the offensive effort as a whole even had a desired effect on Stephen Curry.
“He picks and pops, and that means the other team’s big guy has to go with him,” said Kerr when discussing Post. “That defender is not in the paint, so Steph was the happiest guy in the building tonight. With all that room to work with, the game got a lot easier for all of our guys.”

The win against the Chicago Bulls was certainly something that the Golden State Warriors needed. After all, this was a win that came amidst fans and analysts questioning whether the team could still make it to the playoffs. A win that came after the team had lost against the Boston Celtics by a 40-point margin (125-85). The string of losses reduced the Warriors to hold the 11 seed on the points chart. This may have given déjà vu of the situation from the previous season. Now, not only did they secure another needed win, but they did it through a 25-point margin (131-106). This was a sign that Steve Kerr’s experimentation with the lineup created a memorable result. Traces of the same may end up being seen in the future too.
The Golden State Warriors are healing. Most importantly, Stephen Curry is healing. After all, from the looks of things, the Warriors squad may have taken the veteran’s advice to heart.
Stephen Curry had earlier asked the Warriors squad to “individually” work on themselves
Do you remember the Warriors 2021-22 season? If not, it would surprise you that the team had gone on a 7–16 run after they earlier recorded a 41–13 record. The Warriors won the final 5 games of the season, made the playoffs, and even secured the championship title. If the Warriors could correct things back then, they can do so now too. Time, however, was slipping away. Therefore, Stephen Curry came out with an ultimatum.

“I don’t know if you read stuff, if you hear stuff, you got family members that wanna talk about what we need to do… you have to be able to just focus on what you individually need to do to get ready for the next game” said Stephen Curry after the Boston Celtics loss.

Working individually certainly helped in the recent Warriors-Bulls game. After all, the efficiency ratings of 8 out of 12 players were positive. 4 of them had a rating above +20. Moses Moody and Gui Santos lead the charge with +33, and +31 ratings respectively. Moody’s shooting took a huge leap, as he went 6-10 (60%) with his field goals and 4-7 (57.1%) with his three-pointers. If things continue at the current pace, then the Warriors may end up making one of the most memorable comebacks in NBA history.
