Good news for Dub Nation! Following their tough 125-122 loss to the Chicago Bulls, the Golden State Warriors will need everyone healthy moving forward. All hands on deck time. While superstar Stephen Curry rolled his right ankle in the game, Shams Charania reports that he avoided serious surgery. Although Curry will likely miss some games, it doesn’t appear to be a long-term issue, and he should be back on the court soon.

A late-game twist saw star player Stephen Curry limp off the court clutching his right ankle. The incident occurred during a drive to the basket in the last quarter of the Bulls game. Curry attempted to walk off the injury but eventually left the game with under four minutes remaining.

Curry’s absence proved impactful. Rookie Brandin Podziemski missed a crucial layup that could have tied the score with only a few seconds left. The final attempt by Lester Quinones, who replaced Curry, with a desperation shot from half-court, fell short.
Draymond Green managed to bag his first triple-double of the season with 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists. Jonathan Kuminga chipped in with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 assists. Despite his rough night, Curry still finished with 15 points, 3 assists, and 1 steal. Klay Thompson pulled through for the team with 25 points, 1 rebound, and 2 assists.
Can the Dub Nation weather the storm without Stephen Curry?
Despite the setback, the Warriors remain one of the most-watched teams in the league. They hold a 14-5 record in their last 19 games, ranking 4th in net rating and 5th in defensive efficiency during that stretch. Chef Curry himself has been on fire, averaging 26 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds while shooting a scorching 45/41/89.
The Warriors have been going on an 11-man rotation lately, a depth that will be put to the test if Curry misses time. His absence has proven costly this season, with Golden State dropping all 3 games he’s sat out. The offensive output has also dipped – from 118 points per 100 possessions to 107 when Curry isn’t on the court.
According to the latest reports, Coach Steve Kerr says Curry’s MRI was “basically fine.” The Golden State Warriors are gearing up for their showdown with the San Antonio Spurs tomorrow, but Chef Curry will likely miss the game. However, Coach Kerr hasn’t officially ruled him out yet giving a glimmer of hope to the fans and the team.

Teammate Klay Thompson on Curry: “We’ve been in this position before where he has had time off, and we’ve just got to do it collectively…I know he’ll be ready to go when he does come back, whenever that is. We just want to wish him a speedy recovery, and to take his time.”
