While Cameron Brink is not a blood relative to Stephen Curry, she is surely the closest thing to it. That’s because she is the God-Sister of Steph and Sydel, with their family ties going way back to their parents’ friendship since college. So, it’s understandable that the Baby-Faced Assassin is always there to support Brink during difficult times in her professional and personal life. Turns out, one such moment occurred during the recent All-Star Weekend party as an interaction with Steph turned into a cryfest for the LA Sparks star.

As Sydel was not present in the Bay Area during the weekend because of her pregnancy, Cameron detailed the incident to her on their podcast, “What you missed what I said earlier crying in the club… I don’t know if this happens to you, but if someone comes up to you and is like ‘Are you okay? How are you really doing?’ and you mix in alcohol with that, I’m like a puddle. So thankfully, I was like, sitting on the couch in the corner next to my mom and Sonya, and then Steph was the one who was asking me all these questions and being super sweet.”

Yes, Steph and Cameron were sharing deep life and philosophical conversation over glasses of Gentleman’s Cut, and the Sparks star began tearing up. She even warned Steph about it, “He was giving great advice and I just was like ‘Stephen, if you keep talking to me, I’m going to cry in front of everybody.’ He was like ‘It’s okay.’ I was like ‘No.’”

Unfortunately, the warning didn’t help much as Cameron began crying soon after, leading to Steph consoling her, “Tears streaming down my face, he was like ‘There There’ I was just like literally having a moment.” Despite being in the spotlight most of the time, Brink confessed that she feels very embarrassed crying in front of other people. But Steph brought out that side of her during the party. That was until her mother rescued her, “I got three hours of sleep. But he was super sweet and my mom was just like ‘Okay. We’re going home.’”

Well, Steph was trying his best to play the big brother role as Brink broke down in tears during the wild All-Star Weekend party. That’s how the dynamic of their relationship has always been, as Brink even stated in an interview, “They’re both huge role models for me, so their support means the world” referring to Steph and Sydel.

Moreover, Steph, being the more experienced hooper, has always guided Cameron in her WNBA journey. He even gave her shooting advice early in her career, “She was trying to develop her jumper and I spent a little bit of time with her, gave her some pointers.” Even Brink has talked about Steph’s influence on her life several times, “My favorite advice from him before I got drafted, ‘just enjoy every moment.’ Especially the moments where you kind of have to be there.”

So, it’s clear that Cameron and Steph share a very special bond and even if it leads to some embarrassing tears at times, it turns into a core memory for the God-Siblings. What are your thoughts?
