Stephen Curry nailing TikTok trends with his family—Is he the most relatable NBA superstar?

It’s TikTok time at the Currys. As Ayesha arrived in Paris with her two boys, the whole family got together for some quality time. Joining the fourth-time parents, Stephen Curry and Ayesha, were Sydel Curry-Lee, her husband and Suns guard, Damion Lee along with Seth and Sonya. The most adorable of the group, though, was none other than baby Caius Chai Curry, nestled in Steph’s arms. And unsurprisingly, they also jumped in on the viral TikTok trend, ‘Just give me my money.’

Starting with the ‘Chef Curry,’ he drawled in a comical voice, “gimme my money.” His sister, brother, brother-in-law, and wife, who were all in on the joke, soon followed with their versions of the dialogue. However, it seems like the unsuspecting victim here was the Currys’ matriarch, Sonya. Grandma Curry said her piece, only to be met with complete silence, as the rest of the family completed the prank, with Sonya as their scapegoat!

Sportscenter posted the hilarious video on Instagram with nothing more than a few laughing emojis as its caption. “😂😂😂” Ayesha Curry had decided her summer vacation destination was France. It was a no-brainer, really.

Her man was making his Olympic debut, and she had to be there to cheer him on his quest for gold. But she had a newborn to take care of. Then again, this isn’t her first time.

Mom to three, the millionaire entrepreneur, could very well write a guide – Traveling with a Baby 101. As such, Mrs. Curry arrived in Paris, captioning it into an all-boys trip. There have been no updates as to why Steph’s daughters didn’t join their mother. But if we were to make a wild guess, classes could be a good reason. Riley and Ryan could still make it in time for the finals, though. But as we said, this is just speculation.

Going back to our TikTok trend, Steph isn’t the only one who has jumped on the ‘give me my money’ bandwagon.

Fellow athletes as well as popular celebrities join Stephen Curry in jumping on the viral TikTok trend

Many athletes and celebrities posted their group videos. Most recently, the U.S. Swimming team, posted their version of the same, only, it ended up in somewhat of a fail. In a nearly 1-minute-long video shared by fellow swimmer Gretchen Walsh, Caeleb Dressel was the victim. Unfortunately, the 9x Olympic gold medalist looked thoroughly confused by the whole thing. And when his turn came, Dressel said, “No, dude. I’m not doing it. I don’t get it.” But he finally acquiesced, giving it his best shot, much like Sonya did.

The moment having passed, the rest of the team just laughed about the whole thing, saying how awkward he was. Aside from them, the USWNT’s Crystal Dunn, as well as 4x Grammy winner Will Smith, courtesy of his “Bel-Air” cast, have all been victims of this prank.

If we were to assume, Kevin Durant, in Team USA seems to be the most social media savvy. And now while we’re at it, what if the Slim Reaper attempted doing this viral trend to some of the guys on the roster? Obviously, Steph’s in on the trick so he can’t be the scapegoat, can he? But there’s been a lot of attention on KD recently because of his hilarious open-mouth sleeping picture broke the internet, courtesy Bam Adebayo. So, you really never know, the vet might find some time during his busy day to pull a teammate’s leg.
