The 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend has finally come to a close with the East taking home the win. But one guy is extremely excited about the next All-Star Game. It’s none other than Stephen Curry. The Bay Area will be the next host of the All-Star break, their first since 2000. Talking to the press post-game, Curry reveals that San Francisco is for sure ready to welcome the NBA world to the Warriors home.
Steph said, “The Bay Area has a lot to offer,” to the crowd. He goes on to mention San Francisco, Chase Center, and a few new spots that have opened up as attractions. Not to mention Oakland, the Dubs’ first home, before moving to the Bay Area. “We’ve got history there,” he said.

Despite Steph’s obvious happiness at being home, he does have a TNT analyst to handle. Charles Barkley has long been a Bay Area hater and more particularly, the Warriors fans. He has, on numerous occasions, spoken openly about his absolute hate for the Golden State’s fans.
In 2022, when the Dubs made the Conference Finals, ‘Chuck’ had even gone as far as to call San Francisco, “hell”. Suffice it to say, the man is not in the slightest happy with the place. The fans have returned the courtesy in kind, as well. Whenever they get the chance, the Warriors fans do not fail to insult the ‘Chuckster’.
From the ‘Barkley sucks’ chant (thank you Shaq!) to throwing things at the ex-NBA player, the Dub Nation has made their thoughts on the man clear. And if that wasn’t enough, the Warriors’ very own explosive defender, Draymond Green, spoke for San Francisco when he joined the Inside crew for the post-game broadcast that the Bay hates Barkley too.
While this might be happening in the background, Chef Curry has enjoyed this year a little more than others, probably.
Stephen Curry and Sabrina Ionescu are already making plans for the next NBAxWNBA challenge

The Stephen vs Sabrina three-point challenge was one of the most highly anticipated events of the All-Star Weekend. Post the contest, the pair were seen making plans to add a partner to the next 3-point contest. There are even rumors that Iowa’s Caitlin Clark could join Ionescu. Steph and Sabrina would be perfectly “at home” if that happens next year.
First-of-its-kind, Adam Silver and the league drew inspiration from Ionescu’s shootout challenge on X after she broke Curry’s 3-point contest record last year. The Liberty guard dropped 26 to Steph’s 29 from the NBA line, as opposed to the WNBA line, as was initially decided.

Since the NBAxWNBA challenge was also meant to serve as another step to lessen the gap between the genders and encourage more girls and women to pursue their passion and make a career out of it, Sabrina took the initiative to get one step closer to the goal.
