Did the Golden State Warriors try to pair up two basketball stars and rivals, LeBron James and Stephen Curry? As per reports by ESPN, the franchise showed interest in bringing King James on their side just ahead of last week’s NBA trade deadline. Surprising indeed, the news has left fans in disbelief. The idea of witnessing James and Curry, playing side by side is undoubtedly a dream for some basketball enthusiasts. However, the mere thought of such a powerhouse duo is a nightmare for many too.

Surprisingly, the baby-faced assassin expressed he wasn’t surprised by the news. During the post-game conference of the Warriors’ game against the Clippers, Curry shared, “ No never surprised. Obviously, a guy like Bron, you would probably call just to see. I don’t know what the depths of the conversations were, but that was a nice little surprise this morning for sure.”

Draymond Green encouraged the trade

Rumors surrounding James’ future with the Los Angeles Lakers dwindled following his cryptic social media post featuring an hourglass. The post quickly sparked discussions about whether the struggling Lakers would lose their star player. Currently positioned at the ninth spot in the highly competitive Western Conference, the Los Angeles Lakers are struggling indeed. However, it appears neither the Warriors nor the Philadelphia 76ers could pique his interest.

However, there’s a key role played by Draymond Green in leading the franchise to explore their chances. Warriors forward and James share the same agent Rich Paul. As per reports by ESPN, Green suggested Paul talk James into the deal and encouraged his team to consider the possibility of a trade with the Lakers. The Lakers star had also received offers from the 76ers as well. The entire decision was dependent on the 4x NBA champion. Finally, the player revealed that he is not interested in signing with the Warriors and is most likely to stay with the Lakers until his retirement.
