Gaming and balling have been married to each other. Basketball video games by 2k have established a monopoly in the post-2010 world. Earlier, ES used to be a player with their live series, but the interest dwindled. For 2k, Stephen Curry was a cover athlete for the 2k16 rendition. Of course, his meteoric rise and inconceivable global popularity make him a great marketing figure. In another such move, his Fortnite-inspired game has set the gaming world on fire.

With a game based on Curry, they have now taken their marketing to the next level. As the news broke, fans were in a frenzy. They responded to the development in their usual vigorous manner.

Stephen Curry takes the gaming world by storm

Curry announced the launch of “Stephen Curry: Run The Ring”. This game is not a product of Fortnite creators Epic Games and People Can Fly. Unanimous Media is the one rolling out this obstacle course-based game. The Guard took to X and broke the news of this game. In his X post, he attached a cinematic video of the gameplay.

In the opening shot of the video, we see an animation of Curry walking through a wooden basketball court with intense music in the background. As the camera pans on his video game character, he speaks, “I am Stephen Curry. You are about to run the ring”. After these words, the track “Who in Control” Frank Bentley and Anthony Mereo starts playing.

The video shows a customized character run through basketball-based obstacle courses. The background of the course has words like “Build”. “Believe”, “Achieve Greatness”. The video concludes with Curry’s words “In Run The Ring, you’ll leave it all on the floor”. The sleek graphics coupled with incredible details make this a fun affair. Perhaps, there is also an option to engage in freestyle shooting sessions. At any rate, collaborating with Fortnite brings further glory to the already gold-rated Curry.

As fans saw the announcement, a huge response followed.
