While Steph Curry battles through another All-Star season with the Warriors stuck in mediocrity, Ayesha Curry has been thriving. She’s been out here winning—whether it’s taking the kids to Taylor Swift’s final Eras Tour stop in Vancouver or making waves in the arts scene. Her latest big moment? Serving as the honorary chair at the San Francisco Ballet’s gala.

And let’s be real—she absolutely owned the night. Dressed in a sleek black gown, she looked every bit the part. On Wednesday, she shared three stunning photos from the event, letting everyone know just how special it was.

“It was such an honor to be this year’s honorary chair at the @sfballet Gala. The performances this year are going to be spectacular! Such a fun evening and I am so grateful,” she wrote on Instagram. Steph couldn’t help but show some love for his wife, Ayesha, after her stunning appearance at the San Francisco Ballet Gala. Curry’s reaction to Ayesha’s Instagram post wasn’t the only time he showed love for family this week. His sister, Sydel Curry-Lee, recently shared a wild story about how protective he and Ayesha got over her high school relationship.

On Straight To Cam, Cameron Brink’s podcast, Sydel revealed she dated someone in high school and college who turned out to be “literally the worst.” She never told anyone how bad it was—until later. Once Steph and Ayesha found out, they were furious. “We want to cut his b–ls off!” they said. Sydel’s response? At first, hesitation. Then? “Go ahead.”

Speaking of bold moves, Ayesha has had her fair share of challenges, too. Juggling a diverse career path hasn’t been a smooth ride for her, but she never let those struggles stop her.

Ayesha Curry has to shut down another one of her restaurants

Curry’s journey hasn’t been easy, but instead of letting those struggles defeat her, she’s only grown stronger and more confident. While she’s a multi-talented actress, businesswoman, and chef, it’s her passion for cooking that really stands out. Ayesha’s cookbooks have earned global recognition, and she’s worked hard to build her brand in the food biz.

In 2020, Ayesha and celebrity chef Michael Mina opened the restaurant International Smoke, first in San Francisco and later in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand. Unfortunately, the Vegas location closed for good on January 19, marking the fifth location to shut down. Previous closures included spots in Hawaii, San Diego, Florida, and Texas. With only the San Francisco restaurant remaining, Ayesha faced a tough reality check, but she’s had plenty of wins along the way.

Ayesha’s journey hasn’t been all smooth sailing, especially when breaking into the food industry as a young Black woman. She dealt with rejection, being told she was either too young or there was no market for her. “It was just super defeating, but I kept chugging along,” she recalled on the Forbes 30/50 stage.

But instead of backing down, she proved her critics wrong. Opening one restaurant was a feat in itself, and expanding from there was even more impressive. Despite some closures, her San Francisco location is still going strong, and with fewer restaurants to manage, Ayesha can now focus on making it the best it can be.
