The Golden State Warriors shocked the NBA world with their decision to trade Jordan Poole back in June. The 24-year-old prodigy left the Warriors in haste, uncertain of the future he’d have in Washington. However, 6 months down the road, Poole has returned to the Bay Area and Stephen Curry could not be happier.

Poole has had a rollercoaster of a season with the Wizards so far. The 24-year-old has not lived up to his mark, having an underwhelming season so far, although sprinkled with some glimpses of brilliance. However, he will now have a chance to seek redemption against his former team on their home court. Moments before this encounter, his ex-teammates, Curry and Gary Payton II showered love upon the Wizards star.

Jordan Poole has not gotten a taste of the Oracle Arena as an opposing player yet. This will now change as the former Golden State Warrior will enter the court in a Washington Wizards uniform. Moments before this, however, the 1x NBA champion caught up with Stephen Curry and Gary Payton II, his former teammates.

Curry gave Poole a warm hug to welcome him back to the Bay Area. The wide smile on both their faces gave a clear indication of how close they were as teammates. Gary Payton II turned it up a notch, pretending to click pictures of the famous Jordan Poole. He then embraced the Wizards star too, as he put up shots early.

Jordan Poole helped Steph and Co win a title, but saw an abrupt end to Warriors career

JP was one of the most important players of the 2021-22 Warriors team that beat the Boston Celtics to win the NBA Championship. As a result, the following summer, he recieved a hefty $128 million contract extension from the Bay Area team.

As per reports, he started behaving all arrogant since then. In the same off-season, he was throwing one of his cocky jokes at veteran Draymond Green, only this time they got into a fight. The 4x NBA champ punched the young shooting guard. Throughout 2022-23 season, the Warriors were in after effect of that fight.
