NFL legend Shannon Sharpe finally got the bragging rights over his First Take co-host Stephen A. Smith. The duo had been bantering with each other for several weeks, heading into the NBA All-Star Weekend. Shannon and Stephen A. went head-to-head against each other tonight as head coaches of their respective teams for the All-Star Celebrity Game. Team Shannon dominated Team Stephen A. and came out with a 100-91 victory.

Stephen A. Smith was salty after the loss and accused Shannon of hooking up Dallas Cowboys fans as the officials of the game. The veteran analyst was referring to several missed calls against Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons, who bulldozed through his opponents throughout the game. “He ran over men, women, and children. Everybody.” Smith said. However, Shannon denied the allegations and revealed what motivated Parsons to change his playing style in the second half. After watching Micah struggle in the first half, Shannon gave the Cowboys star a reality check about his skillset. “I told him in the locker room, you are not Steph Curry. You are LeBron, you are Giannis. Get the ball downhill.”

Shannon showed his coaching prowess by motivating Micah Parsons to play harder in the second half. Parsons came out with a vengeance and used his 6’3 frame to bulldoze through his opponents and get in the paint. He had several insane dunks in the second half and finished the game with a 37-point and 16-rebound double-double. Parsons also took home the All-Star Celebrity Game MVP trophy for leading Team Shannon to victory.

Shannon Sharpe takes a shot at Stephen A. Smith

After the game, Shannon Sharpe appreciated his team for playing well and every player contributing to the win. He also continued his banter with Stephen A. and took a shot at the veteran analyst while standing right next to him. “I told Stephen A., I was gonna outcoach him. So, I couldn’t lie about that.” Sharpe said in the post-game interview. Stephen A. Smith was left speechless after Shannon’s comments, leading to a hilarious moment between the co-hosts. Both teams were going neck and neck until the end of the third quarter, and the game was very close.

However, Team Shannon went all out in the last quarter and took a commanding lead over Team Stephen A. They played incredible defense following their run and maintained their lead till the final whistle. Stephen A. Smith is never going to hear the end of this loss from Shannon. The NFL legend will most likely remind Stephen A. of his humiliating loss the next time they meet on First Take.
