Ever since Bronny signed up for the NBA Draft, fans predicted many possible unions. One of them was the union of Stephen Curry and James Jr. The main intention behind this prediction was to witness LeBron and Steph in the same uniform. Amid fan predictions, the latest report revealed multiple franchises have invited the 19-year-old for a workout session ahead of the draft. And it also unveiled the Golden State Warriors‘ stance on it.
Unfortunately, the Dubs aren’t pursuing the youngster, as per Jason Dumas, a Sideline reporter. He took to his X handle and wrote, “I have been told that the Golden State Warriors are NOT among the group of those “workout invites” extended to Bronny James.”
A few days ago, Shams Charania, an NBA insider, revealed that over 10 franchises have sent their workout invites to Bronny. The update also stated that James Jr. would pick only a few of the invites, including the ones from the Lakers and Suns.

Moreover, Charania also added that the Suns would conduct their workout ahead of June. Notably, the Valley side has the 22nd pick in their bag and has the young guard in their consideration, as per the insider. Ahead of the 2023-24 season, the Suns roped in the star guard Bradley Beal and formed the Big 3. Unfortunately, it didn’t yield them big results, majorly affected by the injuries.

Beal and Devin Booker missed plenty of games in the beginning because of injuries. Even though the Suns had Grayson Allen as a backup guard, they still went short of guards. And the team played plenty of games without either of the guards in the lineup. Keeping that into consideration, the Suns’ attempt to rope in Bronny would deepen their roster. Notably, it’s a rational decision from the Warriors to take a step back in this situation.
Will Bronny be a good fit for Stephen Curry & Co.?
The one criticism that the Warriors always had was their lack of size. Steve Kerr’s Warriors depended most on playmaking and shooting prowess rather than the buckets on the paint. However, the star coach tried his luck on the same with the introduction of Jonathan Kuminga in the starting lineup.
On the other hand, the team has a stacked backcourt with superstars like Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Gary Payton II, and also the rookie, Brandin Podziemski. So, the Dubs front office is mostly looking to strengthen their front court. In that case, the Dubs with the #52 pick in the upcoming Draft will look for anything apart from a guard.
At the same time, the team also can shelter Bronny and shape him up for the future. With the Splash Brothers on the last stretch of their careers, the team can look to cultivate its dream in LeBron’s son. Moreover, a rumor during the regular season stated that the Warriors pursued James Sr., who was then upset with Darvin Ham. If the Dubs still look to rope in the 4x NBA Champion, they would ideally go after his eldest son in the draft.
