Steph and LeBron teaming up—Is this the ultimate NBA dream or just a ridiculous fantasy?

Is there something cooking between Stephen Curry and LeBron James? Well, some fans certainly thought so after Steph made a significant change in his Instagram bio that caught people’s attention. Removing “Guard for the Warriors” from his homepage, he replaced it with his latest accomplishment “Olympic Gold Medalist.” Although it might not be a very big deal in itself, Dub Nation got concerned when they also saw Chef Curry collaborating with King James in his recent post. While tensions rise in the Bay Area because of the Splash Brother’s social media activity, NBA legend Kenyon Martin believes the Warriors have nothing to worry about.

Discussing Steph’s bio change, the Gil’s Arena panel defended the 4x Champ’s actions. “Hold on, man! There’s two million followers in between each post. Stop it, man,” Martin said, pointing out the drastic time difference between Steph’s previous bio and the latest one. Meanwhile, WNBA star Lexie Brown believed that it might have been more of a technical problem than an intent one. “Maybe he didn’t have enough characters for both.” To which Gilbert Arenas replied, “Facts!”

Sure enough, Instagram only allows a user to write a maximum of 150 characters in the bio, and keeping both accolades together could have exceeded that limit. But why remove only the Warriors part? Arenas remarked, “Out of all the stuff he had to erase, Believer, Father, Husband, Founder, that’s not gonna be erased!”

Everyone already knows where Steph plays, so he might’ve no longer felt the need to state it in his bio. Then, there was also the Steph-LeBron collab post about the Paris Olympics, which read, “Same Team…Winning Team.” But it could just be the Splash Brother reliving one of his greatest career moments through pictures, with no underlying intentions related to the league or his NBA future. “People are making s**t up,” Kenyon added.

Stephen Curry’s actions might have rung a concerning bell for Dub Nation

Although Dub Nation might be reading too much into it, they have all the right to be concerned. Why? Because Steph’s Splash Brother Klay Thompon did something similar before skipping town, although at a much bigger scale. Yes, before Klay left the Bay Area to take his talents to Dallas, he had already unfollowed the Warriors from IG.

He also erased most of his Warriors’ memories from his timeline, likely hinting that his time in Golden State was over. Remembering the incident, Arenas even raised the question, “Was it the same person who caught the Klay one coz right now they wanna know.”

Have an interesting take?

Sure enough, Klay soon signed a 3-year $50 million deal to join the Mavs. With both LeBron and Steph entering free agency at the same time two years from now, the two legends have the perfect opportunity to team up if they want to. And after their Olympics team-up, every basketball fan wants to see them do it.

However, Steph has also expressed his desire to stay a ‘Warrior for life’ in the past and the team surely does not want to part ways with the hoops legend anytime soon. So, Dub Nation should not be too concerned, for now…Do you agree?
