One of the surprising storylines of the Olympics was the bromance between Devin Booker and Stephen Curry. From special golf trips to giving each other deserved praise, their friendship was one we didn’t know we needed. But aside from that, DBook was practically the Manu Ginobili of Team USA. From the moment Kyle Kuzma challenged them ahead of the Olympics about needing role players and individuals who were efficient off-the-ball (to which Booker responds “I’ll do it”) to arguably being the ‘Sixth Man,’ the Phoenix star has been nothing short of spectacular.
And now, Steph reminds Booker of his promise. Curry could be heard trolling Kuzma for his tweet as Anthony Edwards was narrating a story about Book in the locker room. For nostalgia purposes, the man of the hour shared a 14-minute-long video, which was a bunch of snippets that were shot on his camcorder and later merged. As Stephen Curry goes into a chant, “What Kuz say? What Kuz say?,” the rest of the locker room went, “I’ll do it!” – a tribute to Devin Booker’s prompt response to Kuzma.
That wasn’t all, though. LeBron James, the ‘Captain America’ of Team USA, shared the video on his Instagram story updates. Captioned in bold, uppercase letters was the King’s verdict, “BOOK ‘EM!!,” followed by a pair of joined hands and a salute emoji.

Clearly, Devin Booker did not just increase his global appeal but made an impression on some of the top names in the hoops world like never before. And it seems like that’s enough proof for the 2028 Olympics.
Devin Booker and Anthony Edwards plan on “running the show” in LA
Given that we likely will not be seeing many of our favorite faces for the 2028 Olympics, this year was a memorable experience for every Team USA fan globally. But it was a learning experience for the younger guys in the group, too. And it seems like ANT is ready to take it to the next level. In another wholesome moment caught on camera, Book and Edwards had quite the high praise for each other.
As Booker was busy recording Anthony’s reaction after getting the Gold medal, the Wolves superstar was only too happy to oblige. Rapping his way, the Ant-Man had a prediction for the 2028 Olympics. In all honesty, it could actually become a reality. Edwards said, “Me and Book running the show in LA [2028 Olympics].”
“Book and Ant together are hilarious,” a fan comment read that probably summed up the wholesome burst of emotions all around. 4 years from now would put Booker at 31 and Edwards at 27. And there’s no doubt that either the Timberwolves or the Suns would clinch a title in the meantime.
Not to mention, four years’ worth of NBA experience is no joke. They would practically be the veterans of the league. While it’s doubtful that the 2028 version of Team USA would come close to this year’s legacy factor, this is still the United States we are talking about. Add the fact that we’ll have the home-court advantage, and the USA Basketball might just get their 6th straight Gold!
